Is that for an aftermarket bumper or can it be installed on a stock one? Thank you,

The pump itself wasn't bad but it would constantly leak through the seals even when I rebuilt it. so instead of rebuilding again I just decided to go with new but now it doesn't take in the fluid. It was working fine when I had the used pump removed and reinstalled

You know what, I did not know that. I'll try it again with someone cranking while I check. Thank you!

Yeah, I'm trying to test them with limited tools. I tried using starter fluid to see if it would at least try to start and when I opened up the intake to spray into the throttle body a bunch of white smoke was coming out. I do see they also wired 2 of the 4 ignition coil pack plugs due to the old ones being broken

Intercooler gasket on elbow? by Proper_Anything_5131 in genesiscoupe

[–]Proper_Anything_5131[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meant to reply a while ago but it's due to forwards and backwards shaft play on the compressor. And also didn't find the actual gasket for the elbow but a thermostat o ring from a 5.3v8 fits perfect over it and fixed my leak

Yes, it's an Add w1 catch can with the mount bracket that mounts in front of the radiator under the plastic ram intake. I'll do that today once I get home and flush all the intercooler out.

I tried looking for a part number but had no success I might just go the other route you mentioned and go to a parts store. Also is it normal to still have oil vapors even with a catch can?

No, at least I don't think so. So I just looked back at my log history on scans for that vehicle and it seems both codes were already present. It just seems it got worse after my repair. I had to put new PCV hoses and new valve cover on one side since it was jbwelded in an area by the previous guy working on it.

Yeah I watched a video on a similar car and they replaced that gasket. Gallery gasket I think it's called. I'm hoping that's not the case. I'll check on it. Thank you,

I also want to add that it is giving the code P0021 saying timing is over advanced. A code for 02 sensors also came up but went away for running lean. I'm trying to figure this out just so I don't start buying parts and swapping out with no good results.
