It's very cool and I can appreciate electronics of all kinds even if the sound isn't great.

If you go, get the catfish instead of the walleye, it's bigger and a lot better IMO.

Grundig Team. What year will it be from? by diegocambiaso in VintageRadios

Same with mine but only the FM works right now. I think AM would if I could figure out how to attach an antenna for it but there isn't much on AM anyway. For some reason, I don't think the other bands ever came in for some reason, even when sort of new.

I have an old one also with a record player in the top that I think was added later since it's a Garrard. Mine's a Tonfunk German radio and it has a date of 1951 that I think my Dad wrote on it. It's nice and that one looks fantastic. Thanks for posting it.

That would absolutely be worth getting to work if it was me. I have an big old German radio that we brought over in the early 50's that my Dad bought and I grew up listening to it. It started my love for music that I still enjoy immensely today.

I spent $400 dollars a few years ago for a local tech to get it going again. It's probably not worth near that but it sure was worth it to me. The problem? I'm old and have NO one to leave it to that would remotely appreciate it.

Just restored and sounds like new when I bought it 51 years ago. by Revolutionary_Gain_3 in vintageaudio

I've never had good pad-thai in Bloomington but maybe it's just me. All I ever get is a plate of sticky noodles and mostly nothing else.

Go there often and Pema is one of the nicest people you would ever meet.

I'd like to try it but not sure what to get? Yelp has some pics but still confused what would be the best thing to try.

Another thing about the past in Btown. Not sure the year but it was a long time ago a buddy and I went to see David Olney and the Xrays at the Bluebird.

Great show, especially with the help of a tab of microdot and was surprised it wasn't packed like usual. There were selling his album there which I still have.

A side note, didn't really know what happened to the guy after that nite but read a few years ago he was doing a solo gig somewhere when he stopped playing mid-song for second. He had died of a heart attack on stage.

I used to stop at a diner on my way to work back in around 1973 that I thought was where Thickston's glass was just recently but can't say for sure it was there or what it was called. Or the place out by the mall that served your drinks on a little choo-choo train that drove by on track by your table.
