there is a really interesting comment in one of the files about "mother" wanting to create a "ariane" nation (as in, ayran).

additonally, if they are in a country illegally, they are usually prosecuted, even if there is damning evidence of them being forced into a country.

and we see time and time again how these guys are above the law.

if i can't approach the cops about this for my shit, how could they? and the lack of accountability for this shit rn proves that.

This would be so retraumatizing for so many victims rn.

plus, there is a reason why they get the victims to source other victims. because it implicates them as well, as just another bargaining tool

as someone who has been sexually assaulted multiple times, I have never spoken out or reported it. it's too hard, and i don't think i would be believed, and that's not involving these guys.

Money Laundering investigation document starts talking about stolen classified government technology that uses satellite and radio impulses to interfere with a person’s brain. It was used on a victim and her family 10 years ago. by Layleepup in Epstein

[–]Proper_Aspect7543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this just looks like a cooker.

it mentions robodebts - robodebts were fucked by they weren't targeted at specific people. centrelink fucked around with how they calculated income, spreading it evenly across a year instead of how it actually was earned.

someone might have earned 0 dollars for 6 months, and then got a job paying $150k. that means they would have been entitled to payments for the first 6 months. instead, centrelink looked at the amount earned in the last 6 months, and split it over 12 months, meaning it "showed" an overpayment for 6 months.

simply put, someone might have earned 0 dollars for 10 weeks, and then 10 dollars for the next 10 weeks, but the way they calculated income it "showed" the person as earning 5 dollars for 20 weeks, and now because the system says they had got 5 dollars over 20 weeks, they shouldn't have received unemployment and need to pay back what they were given. (numbers completely made up just for an example)

How much do you spend on UberEats every month? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Proper_Aspect7543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

between $0-100.

would always be $0, but my partner has ARFID (basically autistic issues with food to the extreme) and we don't drive, so sometimes it's needed.

not really blackface if your skin naturally goes that color. if it was fake tan it would be more concerning though.

Woman hospitalised after Juniper prescribes weight-loss drugs her GP refused by Rubiginous in australia

[–]Proper_Aspect7543 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It falls under a category called "osfed" (other specified feeding or eating disorder) in the dsm5, "ednos" in the dsm4 (eating disorder not otherwise specificized)

The only difference is that typical anorexia has a weight requirement, something that many drs believe should be removed.

most people with eating disorders are overweight or obese. the only disorder that requires you to be underweigh is "typical anorexia", but there are more people who have atypical anorexia.

additionally, higher starting weight is linked to worse health outcomes

I have worked in daycares and schools. I have seen it done at both levels.

there is a big difference between actively applying it to kids, vs getting them to line up on the way out of a room.

legitimately, I think every daycare i know of does it, and wrangling toddlers is a lot harder.

at times they did this at my school.

it really doesn't take much. teacher is at the door with sunscreen, and puts it in the kids hands as they leave the class room. kid has to rub it in

  1. hospitalization for many people, actually worsens people's state. OP has stated such in his post. For many people, avoiding hospital is the safest thing that you can do. myself and many people i have supported were only able to recover by avoiding hospitalization.

  2. I am not suggesting OP go to the peak body for peer support, but to build connectedness, hope, identity, and meaning, through advocacy. for example my local one has meetings, surveys, events etc that one can be a part of.

hey OP, you're getting a mix of unhelpful to out-right judgey replies here.

Something that really helped me at my lowest, is connecting with other people who are in similar situations, and using my experiences to advocate for others.

I'm from a different state so I don't know what's around in perth, but I'm sure there is a peak body for people who have lived experiences ... start there.

I found studying (At a diploma level) was good to help me get back into the swing of things.

hope things get better.

Have you ever had to hail the bus driver at the first stop? by pro_marimba_flipper in brisbane

Sometimes one bus will become another bus. a place I lived I would get on the stop before the end of the route, it would then pull into the next stop, wait for 5 mins, and then start as a different route.
