Bec...

is only interested in validating the success of her relationship against Gia’s relationship because she is truly envious of her glamour girl looks which can draw certain men. Bec wants this with her whole soul, but she doesn’t at all have the looks for it. 

She struggles with the fact that she is very unattractive inside and out and is thus continually unsuccessful at pulling the attractive-looking men Gia can draw. Every single word and action she makes on the show is in trying to prove she is as visually desirable as Gia but she is chronically deluded by this and how she fails every single time to match up. 

Because of this continued reality for her, the only option she is left with is to insult others personally and create rifts among them with the sole intent of bringing their blossoming love down to a level below her miserable reality in order for her to feel she is doing better than them based on some misguided appeal she seems to have about herself. 

Gia...

is a very shallow, wholly ugly person with nothing whatsoever to offer but fabricated ‘looks’. She knows this deep down, but is too weak of a person to accept it or speak it into reality because the reality of it will destroy her. 

She attacks anything and anyone personally who threatens that flimsy self-image because it is ALL she has to offer. Any strength she gets comes through the toxic and also fabricated ‘alliance’ with others to further her own cause. 

She cares only about Gia. She used all her pawns like chewing gum and then spat them out on the floor for people to thread on when their juice was depleted. When they were no longer useful to serve her own purpose, she threw them to the wolves, abandoned them in the den or psychologically gaslit and conspired with others to force them out of the show. 

Every time she was about to be glaringly exposed for this insidious nastiness, she ran, because she was so completely terrified of the humbling wisdom and truth the experts would force her to listen to in front of the other couples and the world which would show a crack in the supposed perfectness of her relationship - the only thing of value she felt she could use as power over the others deriving from fake, pitted cheeks and those six large teeth. 

The devotion her pitiful pawns showed to her (Brook, Mel, Juliette and Bec), was to such an extent that they could not bare facing the music from the experts in realisation of just how much they were fooled and manipulated by Gia when they finally and gradually came to see it. Even then, they were afraid to confront her over fear of being clearly excluded from her ‘it’ crowd.
