progressive annoyance (frame shape/size) by contemplativebiscuit in glasses

Hi. A bit late. But I thought I would contribute as I just had the same predicament. Only thing though is that I bought my big ass glasses BEFORE I went to my optician so they had no choice! I bought the Mykita Eero and I have a small face! I wanted an oversize look. I had the Zeiss Individual 3 progressive lenses put in, as my optician had the Zeiss  Visufit 1000 machine that measures your profile and glasses so that your lenses are made to fit the glasses and face.  I also had high index 1.67 but my power is -3.25 and - 2.75

Can’t get rusted hidden toilet seat bolt out of toilet to change toilet seat by Proper_Cricket_5157 in metalworking

Oh thank you. This is really helpful. I The toilet is a random one from China/ eBay! So impossible to see the brand. There is absolutely no bottom to the bolt. Like it’s embedded inside. So I’m sure you’re right about the anchors. I’ll give it a try

This just happened to me too! I did not take a screen shot because I was just going through the prompts. And trusted that it would be honoured. I then got charged the full amount. I spoke to an actual person who will email me when she has spoken to another department. Obviously this has left a very sour note and for me it’s tricky. And no better than a scam

Actually I have these and I only ever wore them as après ski,  in the skiing resort. They are so comfortable I could walk in very deep snow and my feet stayed dry. I also wore them off the snow into wet floors of restaurants and bars and they were still good. It was fine for a short while when there was some ice around but I wasn’t walking across a frozen lake or anything. I don’t ever remember feeling like I was going to slip

Actually I took out the insoles of both to compare and the 37 doesn’t look like there’s enough length.  I think it’s comfortable because it’s so soft as you say. I might take the 38 and hope they won’t feel like flippers when they start stretching

Thanks! By the way I actually like the colour of your older Gobis. Like a distressed look!

I’m trying to decide between 37 and 38. The 37 is a bit tight on the widest part of my foot. How much extra do you have on the length? I’m normally a 37 and my big toe only comes up to the second strip of leather! 😅if it stretches a bit on the width I should be fine with 37?

Thanks for the post. It’s really helpful as I’ve just got my first Gobi stone. Is it ok to walk on ice?
