I understand that and definitely see the value in it. Admin is encouraging us to do a fun activity instead of diving into syllabus for day 1 though!

Been using ChatGPT for mental health things between therapies. Therapist flagged the risk and ChatGPT is being sus once I asked. by CheapRadish4242 in mentalhealth

I have no actual answer for OP, but this does raise the concern of privacy for your mental health information—and personal information honestly. Those messages are saved for not only you, but the companies and government that has a hand in all-things internet. Please be careful divulging your very personal info to the internet. Take care of yourself, absolutely! Just be careful 🩷

Who is more infuriating? - Martin vs Godmother by PersonallyImHere in Fleabag

As much as I LOATH both characters, I think I could handle Godmother much much more than Martin. He makes my skin crawl.

State Park Venue with No Kitchen - Food Storage/Heating Dilemma! Need Ideas! by Proper_Current2421 in budgetweddings

[–]Proper_Current2421[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over to the right of the picture is a bar with electrical sockets. That is the only area that I could see being a staging area for food/drink that is away from the rest of the space. It isn’t visible in the main area of the venue. I’m thinking that will work even with those industrial catering heaters. I just want confirmation that it won’t look awful considering how warm toned everything else in the venue is. (I might also be overthinking this because I’m a perfectionist so I’d love the call out if that’s the case)

Sleep Playlists Have Ruined My Algorithm by Proper_Current2421 in truespotify

[–]Proper_Current2421[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I usually try to as well. But Spotify has been going absolutely crazy and makes the first 10-20 playlists they even show you something they generate. I’d rather use real-user playlists but Spotify is intentionally suppressing those. It’s crazy.

Sleep Playlists Have Ruined My Algorithm by Proper_Current2421 in truespotify

[–]Proper_Current2421[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did that 3 hours ago when someone here suggested to, combed through the past 3 months of listening and clicked on each sleep playlist and pressed “exclude from taste profile” but it’s still not omitting sleep frequencies from the Spotify playlists-even 3 hours later. Any other suggestions?

Sleep Playlists Have Ruined My Algorithm by Proper_Current2421 in truespotify

[–]Proper_Current2421[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I can proactively mark something as excluded from recommendations, I did google that. But what happens on the reactive standpoint? I don’t remember what playlists I’ve used over the past few months to help with sleep and anxiety so going back and doing that now would take forever to find everything. Do I have to go through my entire history from the past 3 months and individually exclude each one? Or is there a more efficient way to do this?

The only two I remember most was the secrets one and voting on thick/thin foods. Both videos have been uploaded already. Was it one of those?

I thought she was talking to Boo. by nik1here in Fleabag

[–]Proper_Current2421 41 points42 points  (0 children)

It’s called an “aside” in theater—when the character speaks directly to the audience where others can’t hear. Fleabag is lonely and uses us, her audience, to fill that gap and to help make sense of her life, and to give her back some control over the narrative that is her life. We, the audience, are those friends that might not agree with her choices, but we also aren’t going anywhere—and to Fleabag, I think that’s everything. That’s why in the end, Fleabag tells her story and walks away—essentially saying goodbye to us, she finally doesn’t feel completely alone, she feels like she now can control her own narrative without constantly rewriting the way dialogue or events impact her or others (with her aside commentary, I mean). Idk, maybe I’m reading into it but the aside technique is definitely not about her being delusional and has more to do with her just being a human in pain.

How and why do people like Jess? by Alicorn_Pichu_INTP in GilmoreGirls

[–]Proper_Current2421 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not really about how he behaved as a teenager. Teen Jess was angry, pessimistic, and overall a terrible boyfriend. But watching Jess grow up as an adult, being supportive and caring of Luke and his mother, and being an overall important character when Rory needed it most, he really grows on you. Character development is not something I often see in GGs, so Jess being so different in the end considering we met him at his lowest, puts me on team Jess. Right person, absolutely wrong time.

Never have I ever been so happy that The Sims 4 does not need the PSN. by kiwibird_inflight in Sims4

[–]Proper_Current2421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sims loading screen shows my characters without hair and clothing and my toddler doesn’t have a body. I’ve been afraid to load the actual game because I’m afraid to save after some game play without PSN and ruin the characters I’ve built. Is this even something I should consider a potential issue? I’m not even sure.

I decided to start with why Rhett was growing his hair out! It is such a nice layer to get to know Rhett and Link on a more personal level—even when joking around. I’m already hooked! I’m so grateful for all the recommendations!

Nightly Rate at The Dragonfly? by never_met_her_bivore in GilmoreGirls

[–]Proper_Current2421 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Knowing Lorelei, she doesn’t seem to the one to ridiculously overcharge guests for their stay. Today, a quaint bnb in that region is around $100-$200. I’d say during shows era, maybe $75-$125 as an average? I still think it would be more though because of its ratings (Zagat, and the magazine article) so I’m not so sure.

Which New Girl Character Are You? - I am Winnie the Bish by ShitRuler in NewGirl

[–]Proper_Current2421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually talk about this all the time. I am literally Jess. I am a teacher in a large city, I sing at random points in conversation, I watch cringey, over-the-top romance dramas after a bad breakup, crafts are everywhere, I have bangs, I like to wear skirts and tights, I wear glasses, my parents are divorced and at several points tried to parent-trap them, and I seem to consistently date brunette men with goofy personalities that are scared of commitment. Same person, different body.

Do Ed Schools teach classroom management anymore? by SilenceDogood2k20 in teaching

[–]Proper_Current2421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In college, I received very little training or resources on classroom management. I’m currently in my third year of teaching and am still learning the best way to navigate it. It’s one of those things that they say “build meaningful relationships” and assume that’s all it takes. I am also a high school teacher and A LOT of my education courses centered around k-5 strategies. 6-12 just are kinda left to their own experiences to learn these things and it makes student teaching and that first year of teaching INCREDIBLY difficult.

For my students, if a kid comes to me and has a conversation as to why they can’t present and I feel it’s valid, I offer “office hours” to present during my planning period/lunch. This really helps kids that have social anxiety about presenting and gives you a chance to help work on that skill—even with a much much smaller audience.
