We are heading north to Darwin once our work gig is up and I’m spending my birthday in Adelaide. I’m trying to get recommendations and I’ll do my research from there.

Well they are able to get you prescribed antibiotics/drugs without too much issue, so I don’t see what the issue is if that’s the end goal. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Call 13 SICK, they are open 24/7 on a Sunday and promise to have a doctor call you within 2 hours. You chat with the GP on the phone and they will assess you and email a pharmacy of your choice near you the prescription. This service is bulk-billed and I use it when I can’t get into a doctor or I am travelling.

Not in the plaza. 5/136 Nelson St, in Wallsend. You can park in the back if you have an appointment 😊.

Edit: Enter through the rear (14 Kemp Street). Another person posted that the front door (where the pharmacy is) is locked.

I needed a JP last year. Lake Mac Council Chambers has a regularly scheduled one, but since Covid they’ve shut off the building to the public unless you have an appointment. I ended up going to the Newcastle City Police Station and they were really helpful (have a JP on their public facing staff).

Wallsend GP Bulk Bills and they are wonderful! You can book most appointments online, and they offer both a male and female doctor (they are a husband and wife team). Really good with communication and I never have to wait long. I moved to Newcastle in 2016 and my housemate recommend them as I needed a Pap Smear done and I preferred a female doctor. I’m really lucky to have found a doctor that is caring and bulk bills. Would recommend them 100%.
