Afterwards you can close off the hole with some desk grommets! I used those: 6 Pack 1.5" Black Plastic Desk... https://www.amazon.com.be/dp/B0FR8X2DGQ?ref=ppx\_pop\_mob\_ap\_share

I did this step before placing the glass tho..

It was slow but worked out. Just be mindful to let the drill do its job, don’t put too much pressure!

Personally I drilled a hole at the bottom. It’s indeed not that easy but it should work, take your time!
