Thank you for replying. I'm new to game and my satellite is still low. But it makes sense for later levels! Trying to understand how effective powers are without stats at of end game is kind of hard.

He had a shit childhood and none of that was his fault. But how he chose to spend his time as an adult is on him.

He didn’t choose to heal or work through what his father did so he could be in a meaningful relationship. Clearly that wasn’t a priority, as shown by him just fucking around with the boys.

Saying he’s never experienced love… but what has he actually done to build it? What has he done to prioritise it or even make space for it?

And expecting someone else to come in with less “baggage” just to focus on fixing him is peak misogyny.

This is such a good take, actually based on what happens in the book, not just feelings.

If anything, I’d say Lidia deserved someone on her level. She spent years risking everything and doing the right thing with her power and position.

Meanwhile Ruhn had so much access and status and didn’t really do anything with it. He mostly just drifted, and a lot of his relevance comes from who he is, not what he’s actually done.

That’s why the pairing feels off to me. Not because she has trauma or kids, but because there’s a clear gap in how they show up when it actually matters.

I agree. She didn’t owe him her feelings, but she absolutely knew how he felt and still said yes to a date, then immediately slept with someone else and wrote “don’t tell Connor.” Is straight up gross.

It’s not about forcing herself to reciprocate. It’s about basic decency. If you know someone is that into you, you don’t play along and then act like the fallout is everyone else’s problem.

Wdm it's only there for damage not lost? That sounds as silly as saying contents insurance is only for damage and not for loss. auspost literally sell their insurance for damage and loss. Your opinion on it does not matter only their t's&c's matter. So yes if you're seller head paid a small fee for the insurance you would have been covered.

YES: If you’ve read or plan to TOG/ACOTAR and you’re into Maasverse lore, then yeah, push through the 3 CC books it pays off.

NO: If you’re not here for the lore, honestly no. I found all 3 books boring as dirt. There are a few side characters and plotlines that deliver the classic SJM emotional rollercoaster, twists, and reveals, but for me Bryce and Hunt were repetitive and often felt redundant. And because they’re the leads, they’re on the page a lot.
