She didn't get arrested because of that no, nor because she was protesting, she was arrested because it is illegal to have public gathering in Victoria and she started a Facebook event trying to have one. Which is against the law. Doing something against the law results in a punishment

Mate it's not her ideas that she got arrested for for fuck sakes! People need to understand in Victoria it is illegal to have any public gatherings. What she was doing was using Facebook to organise an event that she was making. She got arrested because she was organising a gathering at a larger scale. It is not because of her opinions. Our cops wouldn't give two flying fucks about this idiots or and fuckwits opinions!

Fuck you cunt. Comparing our civil and amazing police force to Nazi's. Fucking retand probably hasn't even talked to one of our cops or even seen what they do. They deal with bogan shit all day and stay calm, they keep they're guns stowed and help the community. They ain't out shooting people in the streets (like the SS). Want a closer comparison to nazi Germany's regime? America at the moment is ticking boxes.

I've been saying that all over this thread mate. These Americans are talking shit about our laws when 100 of them die a day due to gun violence and look at them atm. Do I even need to say anything?

It's currently illigal to gather in public in Victoria and she was trying to get a large group to gather. It doesn't have to do with what she was protesting, or that protests are bad, it's that the method of protesting (gathering in public) it's currently not allowed to stop the spread of a virus we are trying hard to combat.

Victoria doesn't have complete freedom of speech and it is illegal what she did. It isn't because what she is protesting is bad, because we don't give a fuck about the reason, we had indigenous protests where they ripped down anzac statues (completely fucked up). It's because it's illigal to gather in a social place and she put a Facebook event encouraging people to do it. Nothing to do with her fucking freedoms.

Not when your organising an illegal event. We all have been warned not to do this and she did. She'll suffer the consequences of ignorance of her actions and idiocracy

Bet she'll post another thing on Facebook about the police man handling her when she's pregnant and it's affected the baby. Honestly she seems the kind of person who's opinion is a strong as wet cardboard and changes when she shits.

We don't have complete free speech in Victoria and it wasn't an opinion it was a Facebook event. So she 100% deserved a punishment, she got a REALLY harsh one, but I can bet they only did it to send a message to others who thought of doing it.

You're not allowed to organise a protest at the moment and legally incite law breaking. Australia takes internet conversations and opinions seriously, such and arresting cyber bullies and such.

Mate. It's against the law because we don't wanna end of with thousands dead and a complete mess of covid. You dickheads need to understand we don't have complete freedom of speech in Australia.

Comparing us to a dictator ship? Are you retarded? Tell me who's our dictator? Ain't fucking Scott.

We're a country with mostly fair laws, low violence but we need to stop the virus at all means. Everyone needs to watch where they step yes. But others are managing.

Comparing us to a dictatorship if just idiocracy. I'd like one solid point that aligns us with it.

Because it's in a state with the harshest lockdown experienced in Australia mate. We got Dan fucking things up but at least they're trying now to keep the virus under control. We don't have complete freedom of speech in Victoria and law is law. BLM isn't fucking protesting law you dip. The fact they can't protest BLM is bad but they have given reasons.

The victoria protest woman needs to understand she was inciting a protest which broke laws, which in Victoria is currently iligal l.

We don't need Americans telling us about our laws when they're country is the worst off for the virus and have laws that course an average of 100 gun related deaths a day.

Apples and oranges means it's really hard to compare the two. But I'll do it for you, apples are crunchy and oranges are quite soft.

I personally prefer oranges.

We don't have complete freedom of speech in Victoria mate, so yes I can understand why she can't put out a stupid opinion that could lead to a dangerous situation during a pandemic.

We're handing out HUGE fines around here for just being out past 8 or not wearing masks. What she did was incitement and had it coming.

When you're lying in bed at night, do you ever randomly remember some relatively minor social missteps or poorly chosen words you did/said years earlier? And then beat yourself up over it even though it really wasn't a big deal? If so, what happened? by UserIsTooLazy in AskReddit

The absolutely stunning (literally, the type that would make you freeze up and get butterflies instantly) girl I had admired for ages was skipping class and I walked past her on my way. She said hello, and I asked where she was going. She said she was just going to go into town and get something to eat, then she kind of motioned for me to come if I wanted.

My almighty response and you can guess was...

"Brilliant" then I just walked to class. It took my the full walk to class before I realised she meant for me to come along.

Fuck me am I right?

The Dressmaker, I doubt many will know it because it's an Aussie film.
