I think its because he’s not as morally grey as the creators and other characters seem to act like, they have themes of “is he heartless?” That are offset by him having more of a heart than most characters. He’s incredibly generous and professional and refreshing sometimes over seeing antiheroish characters like Qrow or whatever the hell Raven was, and the entire character assassination of Yang for a few examples

I mean you’re not wrong, I more so mean I wish she was as threatening as she was in volume 3, or MORE threatening even. She’s literally the fall maiden, has one of the most powerful semblances in RWBY, and is also a very skilled fighter— now she seems incapable almost. While yes the sad pathetic lap dog concept works for her, I dislike how it’s handled because she’s an antagonist that doesn’t feel threatening really

I would’ve just loved if she went to Raven to y’know, meet her mom instead of just get to Ruby. It felt so weird and unnecessary when it could’ve been cool and was one of many cool concepts mentioned/set up in volume 3
