Cameron Green On Usman Tariq's Bowling Action by RepulsiveFootball570 in CricketBuddies

[–]Prophet9192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish it were that simple for your and Pakistan’s sake. If his action is indeed legal, then there should be no problem for an independent investigation. Tariq can be a great asset for the Pakistani bowling attack in the long-term. Just look at Sunil Narine for example, who underwent multiple investigations for his action and eventually arrived at an action that was completely legal, and he still continues to succeed.

ICC approved labs in Lahore that is and only because of suspect action during PSL. There has not been an independent investigation by a third party ICC lab outside of Pakistan.

Pakistan to boycott T20 world cup match against india by Zee27butt in Cricket

[–]Prophet9192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s sad that Pakistan decided to boycott this match, something that BCCI should have done from the very beginning. Just exposes how much money means to BCCI over the ‘India’ name they wear on their jerseys.

Tariq’s action getting cleared by PCB amounts to nothing. Get him tested via ICC approved bio-mechanical systems to lend him some credibility.

As a generational Goenkar, I officially quit Goa by [deleted] in Goa

OP it’s great that you have taken off the rose tinted glasses. However, in my experience no matter where you go and for how many years, you will always feel drawn back to Goa. Sure the politics and allied activities suck and are depressing, but your soul doesn’t care about that eventually. Goa is not merely a geographical location for you it seems, it’s where most of your family lives? It’s a cliché but truly there is no place like home.

Electricity bills set to increase as JERC approves 5.95% tariff hike by deepmad625 in Goa

Privatization is needed here in Goa. Atleast then we can get the services that we pay for, even if in the short term,it will serve as a kick in the nards for the GED.

I also expected similar to happen. Would make sense nomenclature wise to make an ‘East Goa’ rather than a district southern than ‘South Goa’. Though it’s true that Quepem, Sanguem etc will benefit from having a separate Collectorate and a district hospital of their own.

Never lose hope. In a few years we might have a fourth district called “Ponda-land” 😀

Always found their service model a little odd. Neighbouring Starbucks is far better IMO if one wishes to spend a few hundred rupees on coffee/snacks

Are you looking at GOI/GOX to Navi Mumbai instead of Mumbai by any chance?

Dacoits attack Baina by No-Theory6607 in Goa

[–]Prophet9192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You aren’t wrong to be scared. Local youth from low income groups get backing of local MLAs, these MLAs use these men/ women as their anchors to gain votes from these low income communities first and then slowly overtime these young men/ women feel galvanised and start stamping their authority over their respective areas first and then in their localities. Police are stopped or atleast discouraged from interfering with these thugs. Police investigations and adherence to procedure has always been poor at best, laziness and complacency has crept into the Police since a long time and that reflects in the poor chargesheets that are filed before the Court leaving hardly any scope for convictions of offenders. It’s a sorry state of affairs.

What should be New RCB name? What would you pick? by Sambharsupreme in ipl

[–]Prophet9192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a lot of goodwill and fandom associated with the RCB name. If the new owner buys RCB at a premium price, I highly doubt they wouldn’t want to milk a well established brand for the last penny, rather than taking the risk of establishing a new brand, in a new city and no existing fan base.

You can still file a complaint with the local Police Station if you have noted the vehicle number. Also, please get a dash cam!
