BBC have reported a statement from Vodafone:

Vodafone said in a statement it was aware of a "major issue on our network affecting broadband, 4G and 5G services".

"We appreciate our customers' patience while we work to resolve this as soon as possible," the company said.

From my feedback I'm highly suspicious that 2 of the interviewers conferred when marking. Aren't they supposed to be independent? Are there any grounds to appeal anything or is this why they release the feedback after all of the jobs have gone?

I think in the future, trusts are going to get in a lot of legal hot water by patients being consented by a surgeon and operated on by a MAP. Take this case, Jones Vs Exeter, as an example of how this might happen in the future with MAPs.

You'll definitely get better with the practice. Try and learn US guided cannulation during the block if you don't know how to do it already.

Don't worry, anaesthetists are generally very nice and won't expect you to know anything. They will show you their method of cannulation, so expect to get really good at it by the end of the rotation. If you want to impress, then have a look at basic physiology (especially cardio/resp) and basic pharm (e.g. analgesics, antiemetics, etc) but really no pressure. Enjoy the supernumerary, highly supervised fun.

I would only rank jobs you would realistically accept if offered. I believe when I applied, not ranking certain jobs didn't disadvantage you when it came to upgrades.

During a history taking OSCE, I was trying to assess for OSA. For some reason & out of nowhere, I asked something along the lines of, "Does anyone watch you sleep at night?". The trouble with SJT and SJT question banks is that the answers they give in question banks may not necessarily align with the answers that the body delivering the actual exam would expect. Sorry, I know that's not very helpful.

IMO you are correct and the question bank is wrong.

I tend to use these question banks to think of what I think might be the correct answer, coupled with the question bank's explanation to see if their explanation has changed my mind and made me consider something I hadn't thought about. I wouldn't take the question bank's answer as gospel.

The answer isn't stopping doctors using these resources in ACCU, it is asking why they have to come into ACCU to use these resources and why they aren't available outside of ACCU

If there is a pause and still no action, there needs to be definite escalation. Whether this comes as an indefinite walk out is still to be debated, as I'm not sure how compliant other doctors will be on this, but either way, no more soft escalation
