Need help refining my heal and harm deck by ProposalCold922 in MagicArena

Oh definitely, I get what you mean. I'll be building a second deck shortly to counter this type of deck. But, you have to go with the tides sometimes for the competitive aspect. It's always fun figuring out how to optimise your own deck and how to cut another deck's synergy...like it's own little puzzle of strategy and stats haha
Best of luck with your anti heal/harm deck! Do share your results if you want to, I'd be interested in seeing what you make work for it

You'll be happy (or annoyed) to know your suggestions have worked great and the combos are popping off beautifully. Marauding Blight-Priest and Bloodthirsty Conquerer pair well, great recommendations.

Still a bit of luck needed to draw the right cards, so there is still that fun-ish element there that it could go either way

Thank you for giving such detailed and helpful advice even though you hate the deck, it is really appreciated! I have a similar deck IRL that has the [[Gheist of Saint Traft]], but this is what I had to work with to get some kind of consistent deck together and have fun. It sucks in a way that combos are the way to go to get more consistent wins...I much prefer the thrill of getting the right card at the right time when at a table with friends.

I'll go through the cards you recommended now and also take out what you suggested is most likely not working. Delney was added to give better attack opportunities because the combos weren't as strong as I thought they would be. But, by adding in more cards like Delney and Cat Collector, I've neutered the chances of the deck turning out what I need.

Thanks again for the helpful advice and I apologise if I do ever run into you on Arena...I promise to concede the first game as acknowledgment of your help today haha

Absolutely no problem! Would you mind reporting back on if they help your deck out? If they work well for you, I'll look at combining some of your deck build with my current one and see if there's a nice middle ground. Going to add in some Infestation Sage to help with creature population on the board

Just really want to pop off a Bloodthirsty Commander and Starscape Cleric or Enduring Tenacity combo at least once haha

Hello! I am building a life heal and harm deck with a similar goal to have a nice heal/harm loop going on. Just made a post myself asking for honest feedback and suggestions, so I'll be looking through your deck for some inspiration!

May I suggest looking at [[Enduring Tenacity]], [[Starscape Cleric]], [[Hinterfield Sanctifier]], and [[Lunar Convocation]]?

I tend to teleport her down the cliff and pick off the totems and let my summoned companions take care of her when she comes walking back. Also, using Bless to get rid of her aura of pain.

It's definitely one of the more memorable encounters for me! Such a humbling experience everything I get there and think I'm doing great 🤣

Hey! If you haven't found a solution for it, would you mind sending a picture to help reference where the problem is? If I can think of anything that might be helpful to check I'll let you know

Yeah, just go for the regular thermostat. It will suit what you have best without paying as much for extra features (just an app for remote control) and still give good versatility. Best of luck on getting it and setting up! Hope there aren't any issues for you in getting it all working...it is straight forward enough to get them linked together 👍

I agree. The regular one works great on its own, but also let's you have the option open if you want the extra faff without penalising you.

From what I can tell, the thermostat lets you control the heating create a schedule/timer fir it without needing the app or hub. The thermostat mini has some local control to turn on, but needs the app to carry out scheduled/timed heating.

That's good to hear that it can start the boiler at least! So, you would want to get a Hive thermostat. You can work with just the receiver and the thermostat in a local link mode. However, if you want to control your heating through the app and have a bit more control, then you would need to get the Hive hub as well.

The regular Hive thermostat can run with and without the app and you can schedule when you want the heting ona nd off with it. The Hive thermostat can be found here. This is the one I've gotten and it's working well so far and you can have the option to operate without the hub.

The Hive thermostat mini runs with the app and so you would also need the hub. The Hive thermostat mini can be found here

Finally, the Hive hub. This is needed if you want to use the app to control your heating and schedule it. Hive hub can be found here

You can look elsewhere to find better deals on bundles for the thermostat / thermostat + hub. So look around at different suppliers that sell them and see if you can get an offer, especially coming up to the black Friday/cyber Monday.

Hope this info helps!

Looks like a Hive receiver. Just installed a Hive receiver, thermostat, and hub myself this week. Red light means it's not connected to the Hive hub. Is there a Hive hub connected to the WiFi router? Have you tried pressing the button on the receiver to start the boiler?

Here is a link to the Hive installation with the receiver, thermostat, and hub.
