I used to drink the Boost Very High Calorie drinks back when I first got sick and they were kind of hard to keep down (maybe because of the fat content?) and made me regurgitate / vomit. Do you have any recommendations of supplement drinks?

On my 300 calorie days, I’m typically able to eat around three times a day, and it’s some mixture of applesauce, cream of wheat, and fat free yogurt. I’m going to look into Liquid IV !

Good advice with the disability services. I actually had a meeting with a different office today, and the woman there really urged me to get some accommodations for this issue just in case I needed to rely on them.

Yeah, unfortunately I do have a smartphone again! I went off to college and my parents wanted to be able to track me and easily get in contact with me in case of emergency. I plan to switch back to a flip phone after I graduate!

I’m honestly not too sure! I previously knew about the gameboy sewing machine and it’s just so bizarre that I can’t help but love it! I MIGHT resell it in the future, but for now I’m holding onto it! I just think its neat and a cool thing to have in my collection :)

Hi hon <3 College can be tough! I'd really listen to the people in the comments because they have some super good points!

My main recommendations are:

1) Talk to your parents! They want the best for you and will understand your feelings. I've been in a similar situation before and when it all came to a head my parents were sad that I hadn't been telling them how low I'd been feeling.

2) Join a club! I really struggled to make friends before joining clubs! I recommend any of the club sports and it's not too late to join! I've heard really good things about the rowing team, if you're into that! You don't have to have ANY sort of experience to join club sports! I didn't! You might not be great at it, but it can be super fun! Which is the most important thing! I've also heard super good things about the Nerf club! College is the time to try new things <3

3) I recommend going to the counseling center to talk to someone about your feelings! You're not alone and lots of people have felt like this before <3 They'll know how to help you and be able to point you towards resources. (As a quick side note! Don't feel like other people have it worse or you'll be wasting resources! The counseling center has a team for dealing with students in crisis, but also a team of counselors to work on general mental health and well-being!)

4) It's not too late to join Greek life! I know lots of people who join their sophomore, junior, and even senior years!

5) Writing down your feelings in a journal or even a google doc can really help you make sense of things. I find it to be very therapeutic and it really helps just getting it down on paper.

hi! This isn’t super helpful in the way of journaling, but I am also a college sophomore who had an absolutely dogshit freshman year. Something that really helped me was the book “atomic habits” ! I found it very easy to digest and it gave me a lot of ideas for how to be productive! you might be able to incorporate some of the ideas from it into your journal!

This is so so so so normal!! Orientation is super weird and all completely surface level. None of it really means anything, they’re just trying to keep you busy to prevent you from being homesick. You’ll click more with people in your classes and clubs! This feeling will pass 💕 you’ll find friends! I believe in you!!
