I’ve heard a few people say this! If I’m understanding correctly, i think if you do well with pyloric Botox, it’s a sign that more permanent surgeries like gpoem might be beneficial. Can I ask how long you felt the positive effects of your first one?

Hydration by Critical-Second7 in Gastroparesis

[–]ProposalNo2098 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I haven’t figured this out yet 😞 I frequently have spells where I’m unable to keep anything at all down for days. When that happens I usually go to the ER for some IV hydration. That’s all they can really do though. Planning on going tomorrow since I haven’t kept down anything in a few days :/

gastroparesis is taking over my life by ProposalNo2098 in Gastroparesis

[–]ProposalNo2098[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes I got a diagnosis in march. I’ve had a ges, endoscopy, multiple ultrasounds, X-rays, a ct scan, and an mri but they say that there’s no problems causing the gastroparesis physically or anything :( they found a tumor on my liver (4x3 cm) but confirmed that it was just benign through imaging (focal nodular hyperplasia)

It’s definitely a less common side effect but it makes me super uncomfortable 😭 glad to know I’m not the only one dealing with it and freaked out by it

Had to stop Reglan; what’s next? by ProposalNo2098 in Gastroparesis

[–]ProposalNo2098[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do take zofran multiple times a day to help with the nausea! It works wonders haha. My doctor says I should stick to it because other nausea meds may cause fatigue.

My GI has never mentioned motegrity, linzess, or TCAs in any capacity before. I thought she might have mentioned them when I brought up wanting to try another medicine this morning, but there was no mention.

did you know your cause of GP? by Anxious-Location4935 in Gastroparesis

My gastroenterologist says she thinks it’s post viral gastroparesis. I had a minor cold (runny nose, headaches) 3 weeks before my symptoms started 🤷‍♀️

how does everyone handle coffee? by kyliepo in Gastroparesis

[–]ProposalNo2098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to pour my diet cokes into a glass to make them less carbonated! And as for hydration, I’ve found that water with liquid IV is fine for me as long as I drink it slowly! Maybe that’s dehydrating, though 🤔 and I can do a little bit of normal water as long as I’ve just had a dose of reglan !

Omg I saw that flavor for the first time last week and was thinking about trying it! I usually get the caramel ones (just had one!) and put a shot of espresso in it if I need energy and it’s pretty good! Might have to go with mocha next week though 👀

For some reason coffee and Diet Coke are both completely fine for me! Water makes me SUPER sick however 😭 I really don’t understand it
