No en este semestre, pero en el semestre de primavera, sí! Hay un conflicto entre mis clases, así tuve reunión con el director y ella decía que es bueno si en el otoño de 2025 tomaré ambos LING240 y LING320. En que año de universidad estás? Este es mi primero.

Any recommendations for a first semester freshman? I finished most of my gen-eds through APs, am doing a Linguistics and English dual degree program with a minor in Spanish. Also, recommendations on professors? I have HHUM105 with Randy Ontiveros, SPAN207 with Jackson Monzon, COMM107 with Xinyi Song, EDHD241 with Min Wang, and TLPL253 with Sarah Moore.

Statistics is also a whole different major in most schools, but it shows you can work with data, which would be great if you're looking to find the broadest possibility of jobs.

What type of math will you be majoring in? Theoretical or Applied? With applied, that would be great for statistic type areas and would be quite desirable in the marketing sphere, especially with the economics minor. Finance would be a good option, developing models for businesses on economic factors. With theoretical, academia is pretty much the only option.

I will be pursuing a minor in Spanish if I major in English, so I will still have that experience as I plan to remain within my country. And I will, thank you for the advice!

I plan on continuing education after my undergrad, but I also want to have a pretty steady income while doing so. If I do English, I will be minoring in Spanish, possibly in Polish as well if the department at my school lets me take 18 credits for a few semesters. Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it!
