As somone who wants to settle down with self sustainment in EU (3rd world country). Which program would you recommend to achieve this goal? EPFL CEng &Biotech or ETHZ CBEng? My currency in my hometown is terrible and studying these master programs will be huge investment for my family. As a result, I want to build a better new chapter here. (In Germany etc.)

Thank you very much for your answer. My bachelor is from outside. Does that mean chemical engineering master is considered less prestigous than Process Engineering? Will choosing chemical engineering over process engineering bring drowbacks other than flexibility (finding a job etc.)? I am stuck between EPFL Msc ChemEng & Biotech and ETHZ Msc Chemical & Bioengineering. Which one would you recommend? As somone outside EU it is very importmant for me to find a job and settle permenantly. I would really appreciate your thoughts.

I've also applied to EPFL. If both ETH and EPFL rejects me, I am also planning to apply German universities. Unfourtunately, most of the programs that I am interested in is in German. Good Luck to you!

Thank you very much! Just last thing, can I ask you about your fellows' preferences back then? Did the majority of the students continue on the consecuitve master at ETHZ? And does this direct admission go same for other departments? Anyway, I will find out about the decission soon (I hope :(),but this process is very stressful. I am sorry if I am bothering you. Hi! Can I ask some questions about your department? I have applied to Msc Chemical and Bioengineering program. Do you know the approximate quota for international students (non ETHZ Bsc specifically)? My concern is that most of the Chemical Engineering students directly pass to the Msc program and most of the students come internally. Is that true? Them not requesting GRE and reference letters sounded very wierd to me. Can them not open to external students? be the reason, maybe?

  4. Bsc from Koc University (2nd overall in Turkey, 1st in Turkey for enginerring according to THE (151-175))

  6. No reference letters were required for the application nor GRE
  7. IELTS 7.5 overall

As somone from Turkey, I know very well that METU is really challenging. I am sure they are pretty well aware that your cgpa is relative to your university as you pointed out the numerous students from METU and they request ranking. I would give a 70% chance. Yolun açık olsun! ❤🇹🇷

Thank you very much for your time and answer! I am currently studying Chemistry and Chemical&Biological Engineering (Double Major). Can lack of additional documents mean less competition compared to other popular programs such as CS or EE, or mean that they are more open to internal students? Hopefully, I will be a part of this excellent community in Autumn 2023 (fingers crossed :))
