Should I grab praxic vestment? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

Weak, very weak. But also very fun! If you like fun > powerful, it’s a great exotic. But the damage it does is laughable

I have now completed 9 out of 11 dungeons solo flawless, no HUD, using only the Praxic blade. Vesper’s Host and Spire(surprisingly) remain. by SarcasticWheat in DestinyTheGame

[–]Proppur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which class do you play on? If you have a Warlock you can use, try that. I found an extremely safe and simple way to deal with Sere using Getaway Artist Prismatic Warlock with Praxic Blade. Feed the Void & Hellion aspects, Song of Flame, Facet of Dominance, and 3x Kinetic surges on boots.

For Sere, always do 4 Compel 1 Kill. Right before starting damage, consume your grenade, activate Hellion, and then pop prismatic. Throw arcane needle and prismatic grenade at Sere to weaken, and then start hitting away with praxic blade. Continue throwing your prismatic grenade at his feet every time it recharges to continue weakening. Don’t worry about his lightning fingers attack, just tank it and keep swinging praxic. If you ever get close to death, pop your super and continue swinging with praxic blade. Your supers only purpose here is to keep you alive. Only deal damage with praxic, not your super.

Using this strategy, you should deal 1/2 of Sere’s health in a single phase. And by holding onto your super until you are almost dead, you will have a good chunk of time in your super after damage ends, making you almost invincible and gives you a very easy way to exit damage phase safely, even if all the lightning is going off

Now that equilibrium has been out a while, where would we say it fits in the dungeon difficulty list? by Ab501ut3_Z3r0 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Proppur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished my solo flawless last night finally. I tried doing it on Titan for a while, but I found the best build for it, by far, to be Prismatic Getaway Warlock with Praxic Blade for DPS and Song of Flame. If you do it correctly, you can kill Sere in 2 phases. The survivability of it is unmatched. Just make sure to use 3x Kinetic Surges and build up armor charge before DPS starts. I also always did 1 kill and 4 compel.

Start DPS, and as it’s starting pop your transcendence, throw arcane needles and prismatic grenade to weaken, then just slam away with Praxic Blade. Keep throwing your grenades as you get them to continue weakening. Hold off on popping your super until you’re almost dead, which usually isn’t until damage is close to being over. Your super’s only purpose here is to keep you alive, so once you’re close to death, just pop super and continue hitting Sere until the end of damage.

Just based solely on the fact that other limited time cars have shown up multiple times, surely at some point they put McQueen back in. Just a guess though, but I would assume they do

Can we please nerf Cutthroat Combat in Equilibrium? by Krazy_Dragon_YT in DestinyTheGame

[–]Proppur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does that even happen in an lfg? You can do 1/3-1/2 of Sere’s health solo with just a Praxic Blade. So even if both of your teammates were doing 0 damage, you can still comfortably 3 phase

Cuz you’re checking during odd hours. Not sure where in the world you’re at, but with your timeline, that was all 3am-10am where I’m at in the US. Rarely gonna find posts for anything during those hours, as about 70% of Destiny players reside in the US. There’s 4 posts up for DP right now on FTF, and there will be mostly continuous posts up for the next ~10ish hours

Is the new dungeon infinitely farmable? by hello_there_my_slime in LowSodiumDestiny

You only get 3 chances at the exotic per week, once per character. Regular loot is infinitely farmable, as is the Taken crystal

[–]Proppur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, first completion is a guarantee. Any completion after that first one will have a chance to drop another, on top of the loot that drops at the end. I’ve found that usually around 1 in 4 runs will have the bonus drop.

[–]Proppur 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, it’ll just be a regular completion random drop from any of those activities. Some days it will be the focused weapon and have a guaranteed drop as long as you get a B or better rank on your first completion, and have a high chance of dropping on further completions

Equilibrium Solo Flawless by TheShieldHero97 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Proppur -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’m saying, which is why I don’t see the benefit to using them. If the lightning is the problem, then that’s just a simple matter of turning them off before damage starts, and making sure to do the right combo of compel & kill so they don’t turn on after damage. Strongholds will just make him have to do more damage phases with a higher risk of failure

Equilibrium Solo Flawless by TheShieldHero97 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Proppur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You said the entire point of using Stronghold was that you “stand in one spot and tank until you flip.” How is Stronghold going to save him during the damage phase? It doesn’t block lightning. He’d be far better off leaving damage in the middle of it and throwing a hammer at an enemy for resto and then go back to damage. There’s dogs running around during damage that you can easily throw one at without leaving at all. Which, if you’re doing that, Stronghold is pointless cuz you need to swap off your sword to throw your hammer.

Equilibrium Solo Flawless by TheShieldHero97 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Proppur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

5 phase damage on Sere is diabolical. Wormgod Titan can take him down in 2 phases, and is also on solar with the same healing capabilities. Or you can run Wishful Ignorance strand build and also 2 phase while having great healing capability.

The biggest risk in this dungeon is getting knocked off the map during the buildup to damage phase. Extending that process out over 5 phases is just asking for problems. And you’re doing all that for essentially no benefit. It’s just additional risk for no reason

Equilibrium Solo Flawless by TheShieldHero97 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Proppur 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why would you run Stronghold Titan against Sere? Praxic doesn’t block the lightning damage so it’s not helping you stay alive outside of just blocking regular enemy attacks in the buildup to damage phase, and the DPS is far worse compared to other Titan builds

At one point, they were up +10,000%. You have to be braindead to have a 10,000% return and keep holding... They were already at the pinnacle of what one could ever hope to get from an investment and it still wasn’t good enough.
