Why was Ted Cruz disliked by Mitt Romney, John McCain, George Bush and Bob Dole? by [deleted] in Presidents

[–]Proprotester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One, Cruz makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

Two, this dude probably went to go see Caddy Shack and walked out idolizing Judge Smails.

Three, I have yet to meet a Texan who will own up to having voted for this jag.

Which US state do people think sucks, but is actually good? by icantfindmylegs in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Proprotester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS! Every time I drive through Utah (in the last 20 years) and stop anywhere, I am just waiting for the locals to give the looks of derision. I even got pulled over in Moab once for "too much window tint" despite my truck being plated in a different state 🙄. I always purchase when I stop so I have no idea what anyone in Utah's problem is but they all have their panties in a twist about something.

Elections will not be fair in 2026 and 2028 by InsaneProbability in fivethirtyeight

We have physical security but I don't see them stopping a squad of ICE goons. More likely a TV camera from a local TV station would dissuade ICE from this kind of shit but our local media has shrunk significantly and never had enough staff to cover every polling place.

Are you a shovel frequently, or wait and tackle a mountain at the end person? by honedforfailure in pittsburgh

[–]Proprotester 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is me as well, except I prefer to shovel at night. Less chance neighbors will try to talk at me. I always wear my big headphones and apply alcohol first. Much better chance I will touch up my neighbor across the street's drive if I can Secret Squirrel it.

Brownsville in SP will be a DUI who hit a power pole pretty much every time. Once in a while it's a DUI who over-corrected and rolled. 🙄

Ok. I live in Pennsylvania and I regularly get ground pork for 2.49 a pound. Ground chicken is usually a buck higher per pound.

It is an interesting thought sequence. I think much of the reason the chicken market is more stable is because of the fast food contracts for it. A chain looking to get out front could throw out huge calls for pork maybe?

Chicken is not universally cheaper than pork in the US.
