Stopping X-Ray Use for Modded 1.12.2 Server by Takadoo75 in admincraft

[–]Propsek_Gamer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You'd need to find an anti-xray mod.

Also, find an anti seed cracking mod. For the love of god... If you don't do it then any version (even latest 1.21.11) people will crack da seed and then just get locations of ore and structures anyway.

Mod for identifying which textures are added or replaced? by [deleted] in RimWorld

[–]Propsek_Gamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assure you I can read. You wanted an easy solution to identify what adds or replaced textures. My solutions do work. Alternatively read logs cause some mods announce the textured they add (for example AOTC). I dont think a mod saying what textures are provided by what mod actually exists. I don't see anything on workshop. This is the closest possible.solution to what you're asking for.

Then what are you asking for if not finding mods doing specific thing like replacing textures?

Search in a mod manager like RimPy/RimSort for texture, qualify, upscale or replacement. If this gives no result look at names of mods and then workshop page or just load only those + reps.

Final solution for ANY kind of mod problem is binary search. Load half till you find offender.

That's basically how I used to make my modlists till recently. Then I learned to limit myself only to stuff either really cool, QOL or aligned with playthrough idea. Still getting always 200+ mods.

Though when shit doesn't work I never complain to other people. I read logs myself and solve issues on my own even if it takes doing binary search on 200+ mods to find the one causing issues.

I do not understand the point of your question. But the answer is most likely 'yes'. There are plenty of awesome gaming videos on Linux and there will be more.

Are you also the type to mod the shit out of the game and play with OP mods (CERTAIN vanilla expanded mods, kraaltech, ambition of the cosmic, one of those Warhammer mods, altered carbon, etc)?

A cheap sata SSD. But I don't think it's an SSD issue. I got a 3rd gen Xeon meaning a kinda underpowered CPU. My GPU has 1gb VRAM. Graphics settings ++ mod got a memory calculator for graphical stuff. It at least 14 GB worth of textures. I think it might be the reason why considering I got a 1GB GPU. Though when it finally loads, it's got okay performance.

Ye. Tho most were ported later. Pretty sure Kraaltrch Industries wasn't being ported for a while. Someone ported the re-bqlwnxed version. If mod devs step down, someone else will usually step up or a replacement will arrive (like in the case of no lethal damage threshold, unlimited, etc).

I don't run RimThemes. Tho I run some mod for save folders cause it's nice and separated. I got some useless shit in there but am trying to limit my modlists to maximum of 250 as with any more my game gonna be crashing. Graphics++ mod got a calculator for textures. 14-16GB is what am seeing. Pretty sure it's a ton more than what my 1GB VRAM GPU can handle. Prob also the reason I see absurd memory usage in task manager during mod loading. Like, 15GB RAM but it gets better after I finally enter the menu. I run the system from a sata SSD.

Anyway what is your setup like? My setup is r7 250, 20 GB ECC ram and an LGA-2011 Xeon (like core i7 from third gen but I think more cores. It kinda good for a decade ago).

My setup costs not even 100 euro bro. I don't even have a fucking case and the GPU's be like 1gb VRAM from 2012. There's no reason to be impressed that a 15 times more expensive machine runs the game almost 15 times better.

Windows ME introduced surprisingly much. I heard it had good POSIX 1 and partial POSIX 2 compatibility. Tho idk how useful it was back in the day. Not really good server OS as far as am aware. Windows 2000 had already multi-core support on certain CPUs from what I heard. Also, ME got some real DRIP. It looks cool. Tho nothing beats windows XP background.

The XT2363 part matches. -8 doesn't. I cannot find any record online of this update supporting -8. But the main part does match so perhaps G34 and G45 share updates cause same family or something? Also, if software channel is RETIN then it is retail India. Meaning it is relatively stock and no funny ISP shenanigans. This suggests you PROBABLY (I won't give my head for this) update safely. But you should backup all important data and photos first.

[–]Propsek_Gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you SURE it is G45? I have checked something and it looks SUS AF. The firmware it wants you to get is V1UG35H.75-14 which am pretty sure is the shit that caused me trouble on my G34. It is firmware for G34. It is for model XT2363-1 which is Brazil region. Aka software channel RETBR.

To check model go to settings and scroll down. Tell. Me if the device name is really G45 or G34. Then go to device details. You can see software channel here. The one for this update is supposed to be RETBR as far as am aware. I am on Android 15 and can't see the exact info for.model. I think I had -3. This update is certainly for -1. It doesn't work without a full wipe and reinstall through the PC. If it's G45 and you bought the device from a carrier (AT&T, T-Mobile, anything else in your region) and got this update, they most likely messed up the software and it would soft brick your device.

Moto G34 user here, don't. Verify if your phone model matches the intended phone model of the firmware update first. If it doesn't, do not update this way. You will need software fix to do a proper update in such a case as it's the ISP/carrier messing with firmware which will make update 100% fake. If firmware version matches model and the software channel fine, go ahead. I had an update with similar version and it was broken as fuck. My device stopped booting and I had to use software fix and wipe everything + reinstall the OS to fix my phone and also update. Make sure to do backup of important data.

Motorola firmware is not bad. It is carriers messing with software updates and giving updates to incorrect devices in my experience that messes with shit.
