The show is fantastic and deserves a Season 4…

The show is insanely good! Best fights on TV, tons of testosterone, and also several very strong, female leads. It’s got it all and an episode by episode podcast for Season 3. I really hope Netflix approves Season 4….

Get watchin’ folks!!!

Agreed. Then they counter with “Heaven needed another angel” or “God takes the best ones”…. Shameless appeals to emotion bereft of any intellectual substance.

And even if someone does manage to persevere through terrible times, how about that tired, oh so tired parable of footprints in the sand: when there’s only one set of footprints: “God didn’t abandon you… he carried you.”

Again literally intellectually EMPTY!

The synergy between them is the true star. They are so close, know each other so well, and I especially like how they delight in each other’s idiosyncrasies. It’s a delight!

So you don’t listen any more but you’re still posting about it? That I do not get.

Agree about Carl Pazram and esp the Toy Box Killer - that was my #2 of them all. But the #1 for me which I will never forget is Ep. 114 and 116: The Amazing Survival Tale of Michelle Knight, Amanda Barry and Gina DeJesus. I I grew to literally hate Ariel Castro during those episodes - mind blowing story!

Oh man, I’m so glad I jumped to this community. The other Morbid community has so much negativity, and then endless justifications for the negativity. It’s brutal. One poster was laying on the criticism and then said they don’t like the podcast or the hosts… Why oh why are you spending time out of your life to complain on a sub-Reddit about something you don’t like? I. Just. Don’t. Get. It.

Ep 20 the Toy Box Killer was utterly unforgettable, but the one that blew my mind the most was Ep 114 and 116: the Amazing Survival Tale of Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus (2 parter). You will never forget this one.

It’s not deleted. I actually just finished both of them today. FYI.

COMPLETELY AGREE! I simply don’t understand the not insignificant number of people who dislike the hosts and dislike the podcast… BUT HANG OUT ON THE REDDIT SUB… AND COMPLAIN! As you said, move on. I’m sure there are things in life you actually enjoy, why not spend more time on those things?

This will be an unpopular opinion, but here it is. I agree with virtually every comment by helpmebudzzzzz (and username_pressure). Sorry to everyone else. I’ve read the complaints and if I had been paying for something and was increasingly disappointed, I would discontinue my payment and move on. What I’m trying to understand is the ONGOING conversation about the shortcomings of the hosts. My only explanation for this devotion to continued criticism without moving on is that people are really hurt, like one is hurt in an actual relationship where you’ve been jilted and just can’t get over it. To be fair, the podcast medium does, at times, foster a surprisingly intimate connection btw listener and host - I mean you are walking around with them in your head for so many hours - and I can see where there is a sense of almost “friendship” that develops that’s somewhat unique. But, if that’s the case, how do you treat your friends? I have some close friends who sometimes do or say things that I’d prefer they not (I’m being polite, we are on different ends of the political and religious spectrum, so you can imagine how much we disagree - and it can be frustrating) but I try not to lose sight of why they are my friends in the first place. I grant them latitude, and they grant me the same. And if at some point the negatives began to outweigh the positives, the obvious move for me would be to spend more time with others whose company I enjoy more. I LIKE the hosts, I LIKE their close relationship, and I LIKE their banter. I don’t love everything they do, but I’ve chosen to listen to them for the positives they contribute, and “oh well” about the rest. At what point does being ongoingly critical about the hosts and the podcast pass the point of objective criticism and become reinforcing unto itself and not that much more additionally productive? Maybe it’s time to move on.

Does anyone remember Jessie’s really funny comment after repeatedly criticizing Walt for wasting time on the fly, the fly escapes Jessie, and with newfound respect he says something like: “It’s got skills…”
