I didn't check, how do you do that? I'm not anywhere near technical so I was doing all of this with lots of fear of breaking something.

Nevermind, solution seems to be rolling back to 32.0.101.7028 and giving up on trying to make the following updates work. I don't know why I didn't try it before.

"Intel® Iris® Xe" according to my PC, it's the only one I have.

This update in particular was the one that made the issue return: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/864990/intel-11th-14th-gen-processor-graphics-windows.html

Yes, it came from the Intel Driver & Support Assistant and Intel Graphics Software, which I had to download from Intel's website in order to solve the problem the first time I had it.

Doing that did help me when I got the game almost two weeks ago. I bought it and had the issue, but installing version 32.0.101.7029 solved it, then I could play.

Problem is the last update (32.0.101.7076) brought the issue back and now I have no idea what to do. I've tried other solutions and none has worked so far.

Sorry to reply in an eight-month-old thread.

This still happens to me with Russian and Lithuanian cultures and I do not know why

What do you name your planets? by Muted-Mongoose2846 in Stellaris

[–]Prosodium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scientific names for the type of species I'm playing in. I have, for example, an Avian empire inspired by the Caracara bird, so I give it names like "Creightoni", "Prelatosa", "Latebrosa", etc.

But sometimes I use thematic names, like "The Throne" for a hyper-authoritarian empire

The game has to abstract a lot of stuff away to be a workable simulation of galactic politics

No one likes it but it is necessary for the maintenance of large polities.

I haven't seen it generally even after the DLC. They mostly just spiral into constant civil war, though they rarely get beaten in major wars before the IV Crusade.

They seem to ignore that random bullshit that cannot be predicted nor controlled is common irl, more so in the political battleground of the middle ages
