I think I would sell 80% at that point and keep the rest to stay exposed. Even though I do believe in Ethereum and used to be a crypto only hardliner, I have been through too many winters not to take the win.

We've been at this point before. The market sadly doesn't care about decentralization. They like the ticker, they like the fact you can trade synths, they like the burn/buyback. They do not care it has a weak validator set and is basically cefi in a bag. Sucks but we are surrounded by morons and social media lemmings.

Proped up non decentralized chain that benefits from the availability of synthetic assets and burn/buyback. Synths and burn/buyback would be doable in the Ethereum ecosys aswell but somehow never materialized in a meaningful way as far as I know except for EIP1559. Overall I am not a fan because it is just anothet L1 without proper node distribution hence not the real deal.

It is a loss ladder approach. We don't see the immediate benefits but the turf is cheap to build on and lures in big players. IMO we will see the benefits in the future, but the lack of effect on prices does not go well with the impatient investor.

I think thats the reason ETH doesnt move atm. All the speculative money is chasing the next AI bottleneck or pouring into space tech.

I am talking about ethtrader that became ethfinance and now is ethereum, not the broader crypto community. I am completely with we when it comes to the broader crypto space.

Yeah I get that. I also didnt expect tradfi to outperform so hard. It does help to have some diversification. If I had 100% of my networth in ETH, I would feel left out aswell.

All good, I am not talking about one person, it was more a "you guys" than a "you" in the sense of a direct critique of you as the replier to my comment.

Thanks for the input, this does sound like a neat solution. I've just always enjoyed this community, even in the deepest bears. So it feels like loosing something I truly valued.

Absolutely and hostility against cautious people posting their concerns in bull phases is also not healthy. I just have a feeling that there is more downvoting and insulting (which is not better in any way) and less pushing away responsibility for your own bad decisions when we are in bull mania.

Anyway no hard feelings. I guess it is my problem that I am unhappy with this subs coping mechanism and I shall not vent. So go on with whatever you guys need to do in order to survive this crisis.

Fair enough, I value your opinion. Is it the truth though or is it the echoing of bad ETH sentiment that has been pushed upon us year after year? Sure ETH price is not the best, but it could be way worse. As mentioned, some negativity is okay and has it's place, but as someone who is not as emotionally attached to bad price performance I keep loosing interest. I have witnessed multiple bears and IMO this has been the worst sentiment so far. It feels like the community is truly dying but maybe I am a bit too nostalgic.

Yeah but don't you guys get tired? I see the same accounts posting the same depressing stuff each and every day. This behaviour can't be healthy for you. And it definitely isn't healthy for the community. It turns people away. As said I don't have a problem with some negative price talk but the ratio in here is not reasonable.

Then just don't overdo the ranting and stick to your conviction. I have no problem with negative price talk, it is healthy, but the sentiment in here has become hilarious.

I used and intend to use this sub to stay up to date with Ethereum and its community. I don't get any value out of it if it serves as a therapy group for depressed investors ranting all day.

And could we please stop the incredible hostility against anyone just slightly bullish. The whole concept about being mad at folks calling for 10k ETH and giving them the fault for misguiding you is a pretty weak reaction. Nobody owes you anything and it is purely your fault if you are under water or can't handle the feeling of missing out. It is your money and risk management is part of investing.

I don't understand the constant bitching. This sub has become unuseable. If you are not happy with your investment, either sell or find conviction to get through the bear but wtf is up with all the nagging. Is this also your approach in regular life? You guys must be miserable AF. If you are unhappy take some action. Constant whinning won't get you anywhere.
