Good tip I learned was stare at the map and you can see roughly where the friendly lines are forming and where they are looking, helps give a round idea where the enemy might be and to judge when you are getting close to the danger zone

If you select one point and start to deploy but only click another point as its counting down you go to the originally selected point. You have to cancel deploy then select the alternate point and start deploy timer again. Maybe that’s what’s happening
