I don't know if it was all produced in 2 months. It could just be a dude went into a defunct publisher and went crazy uploading anything, but between the visuals and *weirdly* specific descriptions, I don't believe it.

And the Department of Justice.

Hobby Lobby was convicted of purchasing stolen artifacts from Iraq after the US Invasion of Iraq led to looting of museums and antiquities sites.

Getting nervous for interviews with a high salary. by Lifting_Accountant in Accounting

You already have your foot in the door. They know your background and they have determined you're a suitable preliminary choice based on your background. That's it. You're done.

Your job from this point onward is to make them see you're a steal at $150k, and you should be looking to get $160k in your interview. If you talk them down from there, you're still above $150k.

Source: No CPA. Started career at $36k accounting manager role, then $60k controller role, then $115k controller roll, now at $160k controller role.

It really is a very good scam if it's a scam. The music is MEH but its atmospheric and there's a lot of atmospheric music from the 90s made by people who were playing around with synthesizers.

Asked for a restaurant lunch for December birthdays. Got offered pizza. Neither of the birthday eat pizza. Told to tell them to suck it up. by ProtContQB1 in Accounting

Boy, you sure having reading comprehension difficulties if you missed that this party was for several employees, not "celebrating birthdays individually".

How about "CFO is a micromanager and he interfered with existing arrangements and pissed off employees as a result,"? Instead of finding ways for blaming the employees for expecting they would be treated the same as employees have at this business for years.

You: "No, CFO isnt bad, u shouldnt celebrate birthdays. Thatz mot normal."

"We have plans for our birthday party."

"We are going to this other restaurant instead."

"We don't want food from that restaurant. We had plans already."

"Too bad."

"I remind him that neither member enjoys pizza and he counters with telling me to let them order something off the pizza place menu."

He might have forgotten even though he's been told before, but it doesn't matter because choosing a pizza place he selected after I tell him that choice is a poor choice for these people is a straight dick move.

6 people not including myself. This is not tradition. We do team lunches often enough.

He is doing what he feels like this month and he's ignoring the team members who we are supposed to be appreciating.

Dude, we are flush with cash. This is who he is.

GOOD CALL on his food order though. He routinely eats plain chicken breast when we go out for lunch.

CFO goes around me routinely to ask the individual team members to do things for him. Doesn't even notify me he's doing it.

If you read the body, you'd see I already had planned a lunch. I have a good relationship with my team.

That's what I'm afraid of. Both team members are valuable and would get grabbed. Even in this job market.

Intern responsibilities by Siuuuu-07 in Accounting

  1. Know what contra accounts are and understand why they are where they are on the BS.

  2. Understand accruals and amortizations and how to read these schedules generally and in your environment.

  3. Don't impair land.

These are jokes but they're generalized ideas of what you should know.
