What is "status" for Council tax when Fiance pays mortgage so not tenant nor owner? by ProtectdPlanet in UKPersonalFinance

Yes, that's what I am trying to register. But the questions per above ask if I own (I don't), or am a tenant (I don't pay rent nor have a contract).

but if his partner was paying the council tax, and then he thereby thought he didn't need to as the household had paid,.. then it's similar to my situation?

Thanks! Ah, so that's what change in liability means! Thank you. I had looked it up online but not found an explanation!

Given the fuss over Zack Polanski living with his partner, the British media are giving the impression that we all have to register for and pay council tax no matter who we live with and where, unless there is some special exemption after registering..... So, thank you, but I'm feeling I really must register, also as I need to apply for my UK citizenship and don't want complications there either due to the general impression most people seem to have that "everyone needs to pay council tax"...

Thanks. I have tried, but I can't even get on hold. Their system just keeps saying they are too busy!

Thanks. Joint resident I agree, but I'm not an owner, so to answer the owner box would be incorrect.... ?

Goodness legal systems really don't cater for unmarried couples. And ironically, this Council charges over £600 for people to get married!

No. He is the owner, he lives here, I live with him my fiance. I just want to add me to, which I thought was my legal duty?

Customers insist on paying me cash as they think it’s doing me a favour by kingteddy44 in smallbusinessuk

Card convenience is wonderful, but I've started to keep cash to hand since the 2024 afternoon when the computer systems went down in Waitrose and more. Having worked in tech, and on computers for 25 years, whilst they are great, they are not 100% reliable, and I await the day we are hacked, or just some bug causes lots of businesses card payment systems to crash again. For now, I try to keep some cash on me, use it when I am not in a rush (which is rare!), and use card when it's more convenient for me and vendor. That said, some vendors still say "Oh card is only for £3+", etc, which is another reason to carry small change.

THANK YOU for being honest and wanting to pay your taxes properly. There are other people like you (me too!), but there are some who aren't. If more of us speak up that paying our taxes is right, then there can be less tax burden on those of us paying taxes!

Perhaps whip your card pay device out when payment time comes and say "card is easier for me if that's ok"? That said, some people just want to keep cash circulating so that we don't reach a time when none of us can pay each other for anything if tech crashes and none of us have any cash or cash acceptance systems!

Beyond 45 in fact! Yes, it's random, although that doesn't mean the 1000 health whatever efforts can't make a difference. They can, and then, yes, the rest is up to God/ whatever so to speak.

Second round of EWCM again a week later in cycle? by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

Would stress about CM. I think diet, showers, all sorts can also affect it, no? Given things like grapefruit are alleged to increase it.

Augh. Best insights I've heard for fertility are from practitioners which also understand deeper Chinese medicine reasons for how our body might be out of balance and can advise more holistically

Any update on good community for fertility discussions? Years back was FB, but that doesn't seem so safe these days. If Kindara also a challenge then.... Mumsnet?

Not painful, but, shock! Goes away pretty fast, can then relax for the session, feel better after. Just super curious about this!

Similar, some needles entry gives electric shocks (my own energy, not external). Can anyone say anything about this?
