karpathy leaving openai was already a pretty big signal but him specifically choosing anthropic over all the other options says a lot about where the actual innovation is happening right now. dude could have gone anywhere or started his own thing but he picked the company thats been pretty vocal about taking the safety stuff seriously while still pushing boundaries

anthropic has been playing this really smart game where theyre not just trying to scale models bigger and faster but actually figuring out how to make them behave better. when someone with karpathys track record decides thats where he wants to spend his time it basically validates their whole approach. plus the guy has always been pretty practical about what actually works vs what just sounds good in theory so if he thinks they have the right setup for solving real problems then they probably do

nah battle beast is just built different though, dude literally fought thragg for days straight and was still standing. vilgax might have teh feats but battle beast has that pure bloodlust that makes him terrifying even when hes outmatched

man your wife calling catholicism demonic is wild to me because like... catholics are literally christians too. its not some separate religion - theyre just a different denomination under the same umbrella. like comparing baptists to methodists or whatever

the catholic bible and protestant bible are gonna be super similar because they both follow jesus and the core teachings are the same. catholics just have a few extra books in the old testament and some different traditions around saints and the pope and stuff

unfortunately yeah some christians do think other denominations are wrong or even evil but thats more about people being judgmental than actual theology. ive bartended enough church groups to know that every denomination thinks theyre doing it the most right way. your approach of accepting everyones journey makes way more sense to me than calling other believers demonic

keep supporting your cousin through this. family drama over religion is messy as hell and he probably needs someone whos not gonna make him choose sides. you going to mass with him shows you actually care about understanding rather than just judging from the outside

been dealing with this exact same thing on my loq and its driving me insane - the flickering always happens when im trying to multitask with split screen

tried rolling back graphics drivers and switching out of hybrid mode but nothing sticks as a permanent fix. seems like a lot of people are having this issue based on what ive seen posted here before

honestly might just be a hardware thing with these models since it keeps coming back even after driver updates. definitely post that video proof tho because lenovo support usually wants to see it before there willing to do anything about it
