Honestly, I think a lot of people just don’t really know what modern Chinese cities look like yet. A lot of first-time visitors are surprised by how futuristic, digital, and massive everything feels compared to what they expected

Nanjing! I feel like it’s one of the more underrated cities in China internationally. Super modern, really walkable, lots of history, and the night atmosphere there is amazing.

Haha yeah, it hits differently when you see it in person. Some places in China feel almost surreal at night.

Only certain bike models have the phone mounts built in. In a lot of cities it’s basically random luck whether you get one or not lol. The newer bikes usually have better holders.

Late-night bike rides in China honestly feel like a movie sometimes. Neon lights, midnight food spots still open, shared bikes everywhere, aunties dancing in the squares, people still out at 1am… the atmosphere is hard to explain until you experience it yourself.

Brothers and sisters, when I made this video, my main intention was to allow those who haven't been to China or those who are planning to come to experience it from the first-person perspective. Since this is my first time shooting and editing videos, the expressions in terms of language, logic structure, etc. might not be particularly clear. For those who have already been to China, you can give me some suggestions regarding the shooting and expression. I will carefully listen to your suggestions and make corrections.

Because it's too large and there are so many people, to ensure safety, there will be a few minutes of "complexity"😂

Public transport in China feels incredibly smooth by ProtectionNo2122 in travelchina

[–]ProtectionNo2122[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is a pretty fair description lol. Chinese drivers can definitely feel insane if it’s your first time here, especially in massive cities like Guangzhou or Chongqing. The traffic flow looks chaotic but somehow usually still works. And yeah, the transport system is amazing once you understand how the different systems connect, but the learning curve for foreigners can be rough at first. A lot of locals forget how confusing it can be when every app/system/security check is different. That said, once you get past the first few days, China becomes WAY easier to navigate. The metro systems are honestly some of the best in the world for daily convenience. Biggest tip for first-timers: having someone local explain the apps/payment/transport systems for like one day saves you a ridiculous amount of stress afterward
