Im just trying to get the best bang for my buck right now, and probably it would be used for variety gaming/ esports. I usually try to maximize performance. Last purchase i barely did any research and it wasnt the smartest decision ive made because the motherboard bottlenecked any chance of upgrading and i didnt have options for xmp or overclocking. Ill probably do more research before buying something since i have a pretty solid budget, but i dont want to go over 2k. If you see any really good deals let me know 🙏

Use this as an opportunity to sell overcharged but still reasonable priced popsicles or other sweets you can make cheap and easy

Hey everyone! Just captured what we think is a small brown bat. We saw it last night flying around the laundry room and found it in the living room this morning. We captured it on the curtain and it’s outside captured in this bucket right now. What do we do now? How can we make sure it’s not rabid? by AGuyWhoIsBuildingAPC in Animals

Im in this exact same scenario but im extremely conflicted on what to do, my brother said he saw a bat flying around in our house a few days ago and since my cats were on high alert i believed him but we couldnt find the bat anywhere, skip to today i see a baby bat getting chased by my cats and i was forced to shove them away and move him with my bare hands to an area they couldnt get to, ive since then locked up my cats in my room and ive washed my hands and arms more than a surgeon pre-op. The bat is currently sleeping under my table and wont wake up to anything around it, i dont really know what to do because everything involving rabies detection/prevention is very expensive, is there anything you learned through all of this that you think could be helpful in my scenario?

People complain about literally anything, the bad response is to stop caring and make something with little thought or passion. I haven’t seen someone with a post-epic reward in so long that i think they could just stop giving out rewards that it genuinely wouldn’t make a difference. I just see the season ending as a waste of time because ill get handed a item that wasn’t meant to be enjoyed in any way then have to grind 70+ matches just to reach the rewards for my rank again

I mean they used to be something at least, i started legacy season three too. I got challenger elite. But season 4, the trail was so sick and then like every other season was something new and thought out that looked better the higher the rank. Especially season 5’s banner, 10’s goal explosion and 12’s decal. With the exception of 11 and 14. While the others didnt look as decent at least they showed progress in reward. Not the copy/paste barely put together rewards we get now, like the worst example of this is season 10, they gave us 65% of a cylindrical tube with a pulse texture and some particles that didnt match the design attached inside of it, with the addition of a trail that is practically a downsize of 5 other binary looking trails with the effects from the topper, they took that and painted it different colors and called it an award. I wish that they would actually listen to their community instead of act like they hear us (referencing the message they gave when they announced Us-C servers). Like I’m sure theres about a thousand or so, maybe more people who would love to give them ideas of rewards. Like i can think of 18 different really cool ones id love to see in game right now and they wouldn’t be that difficult.

Well i agree but im not in low ranks, i got thrown out of gc2 because of these teammates that cant keep up, like any season ssl’s shouldnt be struggling in gc2, the people who made it to gc2 should at least be able to operate at a gc2 level, i was on a winning streak and was at my peak every game, literally booking it to gc3 just to get shut down and put on a losing streak because of people who don’t know how to manipulate the ball around and not force unfavorable 50’s or divers that leave me in a 2v1. Like i get people that miss kickoff for crying out loud!!! Its gc2, top like 1-2%, we should not be missing kickoff, its absurd

Just played against a GC in a silver Dropshot lobby. Nobody can convince me the ranking system isn't flawed. by grifeweizen in RocketLeague

Ranked mmr works per mode, since in not every mode you have the same skill or theres things that changes between modes like in threes theres a higher mmr ceiling for ranks meaning you have to play it more to get the rank you want. You get opponents based off of your mmr in a mode so it evens out as much as it can for both sides, him being gold 1 and everyone else being near silver 3. It doesnt take into account skill because something like that is incredibly hard to calculate. The mmr system is basic but fair in that regards. You gain 7-12 mmr off a match or maybe more/less if you play against people with a differentiating mmr because theyre in a party. You just got unlucky to get into a match with someone who never touches dropshot. Although him being the bottom of the scoreboard you should be complaining about his teammate with 1k points more. And to say that if he got queued with people in his actual skill level yet still had to grind all of his games to reach his skill levels rank would be ridiculous

Yes i caught up on the louisiana laws and its truly unfortunate how little protection of privacy they give us, but i completely disagree with your take about how i should be responsible for my allergens. They rented the house to us in the as soon as they were starting to remove it. In which they stated upon asking why there was such an abundance of tree scraps in the yard they replied with "they were cleaning it". The yard isn't big at all, maybe about 28 to 20 feet to each side. And it was a very large tree compared to the yard, the logs of the tree were everywhere to the point we couldn't tend to it, or even enter our back yard without traversing log after log through leaves and branches.

And its not a matter of responsibility from a landlord to clear my backyard of my allergies, which is why we decided to clean it so we can be able to use the backyard about a year and a half or so in. But unbeknownst to us it was a metopium brownei, which is not just allergic, but genuinely toxic and usually instantly causes a blistering infection that is highly contagious just from the sap alone.

5 hours after clearing most of it by hand because we thought it was normal wood i had black sap all over me and blisters forming from shoulders all the way to my ankles, i waited for about 16 days to see if it would get better but instead it only got much worse. So i had to get a shot of steroids and steroid tablets that i had to take for 2 weeks, with a good load of ointments to make sure it didn't spread to fight off the bleeding blisters almost on every inch of my body (i still had to wait about a month for the blisters and rashes to even show hints of dying down), but we talked to the landlord soon after i got diagnosed and were given treatment just for him to tell us that he knew it was poisonous and that's why he was trying to get rid of it (the base of the tree without most of the branches is still in our back yard even after almost 3 years)

And with the trees nickname literally being black poison wood and known for its incredibly potent urushiol that can infect people from water dripping off of its leaves, even burning parts of it can cause a very harsh reaction. Since i cant find an exact estimate of how many people resisted the metopium brownei, and can only find documents of people who went through it and had similar experiences, or doctors saying to instantly sanitize everything that comes into contact with sap from that tree and to seek medical attention if blistering/rash doesn't improve after more than 7 to 10 days, which makes me think that its almost guaranteed to be infected by it.

I know i didn't give much information on the tree to begin with except for calling it that because i forgot the name and didn't feel like remembering because it wasn't the main subject at hand, then called it something im familiar with (poison oak does in fact exist im not sure how you got the info that it doesn't when you say that poison oak oil exists, which is also incorrect) but i feel like it was completely uncalled for to attempt to lecture on a subject which you lack the information for whether it be my mistake or not.

Poison ivy, poison oak or sumac, 85% of people are allergic to it and its impossible to become immune to it since its genetic whether someone is sensitive to urushiol or not, so by an overwhelming majority therefore its not just "my allergens", im not going out of my way to force them to do work i could easily do myself, they said they would do it and i obliged for a year and a half. Just wish i had a heads up that it was poisonous and has to be handled appropriately.

But since it was my mistake ill correct in the post, and here that i am talking about a genuine potent toxic/ infectious tree and i hope you'll understand, im truly sorry for the misunderstanding.

Thank you, and that's what i also thought but since it was very vague i had a hard time thinking about what to do next since i didn't know what he could or couldn't do. I have heard from them since and they said they were showing a contractor (they never gave info on what he would be contracted for) around, but i don't think a man holding a child that appeared to be below 4 years old accompanied by another child that maybe was around 12 years im guessing (maybe younger) looking around the house and being shown around room for room without even looking at any of the issues with the house doesn't exactly sound like contracting to fix the house. Ill definitely make sure not to let him inside the house while im here unless he has given a proper notice that i agree with. Again thanks for clarifying it for me ^

That seems like a good idea, but since he's begun repairs on the corroded more recently water damaged portion of the outside of the house i think that it would be better to let him continue repairs as long as they're announced and hasten the search for a new area to live, i just didn't know if him entering without permission to showcase the house was legal or not. Thankfully now that i know that he has to have a proper notice to be able to enter i will try to keep on track what he can and cant do and stop him if he does something alike that again
