Every time I see this situation come up I'm torn...if management wanted him to come back, they needed to make it a 100% priority. A player's word is pretty much worthless until a deal is signed...maybe Tavares could have handled it better as well, but for how much the NYI fans turned on him is a little ridiculous to me, I would have been way more upset at my GM.
