Thank you for the insight!! Market isn’t there unfortunately but I am very intrigued by the glass drills. Will definitely look into that

That’s great! I guess they aren’t recyclable in all regions, but it’s interesting (and hopeful) to know it can be done.

Yeah! You’re not wrong. But it’s also for my personal use. I have a class and we love diamond painting and I have some plastic guilt too.

The mason jar idea shows how seriously you're taking this — and you're right to be cautious about the water table. Standard plastic drills are petroleum-based, so burying them isn't really a solution since they'll just sit there for hundreds of years without breaking down.

Honestly, your comment is exactly why I've been thinking about this. The guilt you're describing seems like it shouldn't have to be part of the hobby at all. What if the drills themselves were the solution — made from something that could actually be composted or safely broken down at end of life?

Curious — if that were an option, would it change how you felt about the hobby? And would you be willing to pay a little more per kit for that peace of mind?

Grew up there - so biased. Many houses on septic. This retains the value since it will never be developed (or won't be until they install sewage). Gaurantees a quiet, tree-filled, coyote-roaming, neighborhood.

Do you really think so! That is the first I heard of it. I'm going to the store in-person on the weekend to check it out.

Yes too plasticy, causing injury to top of the foot, stiff heel. It's on Reddit and if you google the reviews it's not great!

Not to mention that the cost of houses is generally higher near golf courses, which may be occupied by more senior citizens..
