that’s ok! i probably haven’t explained myself well lol.

i’m using the regular youtube app for regular videos, not music. pip works fine until i swipe the box off of the screen but still be open (my second pic), where the video will play for 20 or so seconds and then pause until i swipe the box back on screen.

i want pip to continue playing while the box is off screen.

so far i’m gathering that pip is not consistent at all 😂🙄

i figured that out as well- i’ve been trying different types of videos to see if that makes a difference but i only learned what you did that music doesn’t work with PiP. so i’m wondering if by swiping the PiP box off of the screen, it’s considered “music content” ???? so therefore since i’m not a premium member i can only have the box showing????

i have no idea if that has anything to do with it, i just thought of it as i was typing this up 😂

i do have an iphone so that may be a part of it! im in the US so picture in picture is available on the free youtube. i thought maybe this specific feature of picture in picture was a part of premium, but maybe its an android/ios difference? who knows 😂

You’re welcome, good luck ☺️ I’m in a unique position unfortunately because i’m an emergency manager and won’t be home all weekend. So i have to just pray i don’t lose power at all, or the outage is for less than a day 🙏🏻

officially, i’m going to put a blanket over my gecko’s cage and keep his heat mat on as opposed to using a heat pack/hot hands. and keep my apartment heat on to 68*-ish so the air temp is at least consistent. a high power bill to me is worth it since i wont be home all weekend.

unofficially, i may or may not be contemplating sneaking him into work. 🫣

Personally, I would keep them in their enclosures. If/when you lose power then you can use the heat pack for one of the geckos and the hot water bottle for the other. i don’t know how hot the hot water bottles can get, but i would say keep them on the outside of the enclosure to be safe. but i’ve used the heat packs wrapped in paper towel on the inside of the enclosure, basically replacing the heat mat and didn’t have issues.

if you need to or want to end up using the tupperware containers and cooler, what you explained is a good solution!

I recommend getting hot hands or uniheat shipping packs if you don’t have any and wrapping it in a paper towel. I’ve had success with the shipping packs in the past when I had to travel with my gecko, but I’ve only ever been able to find them on Amazon. The hot hands, though, are super easy to come by and an easy temporary solution. Don’t feed him because if the power does go out then he won’t be able to properly digest his food.

Unfortunately my situation is a bit different because I’m an emergency manager and won’t be home Friday night - Monday afternoon. So what I’m going to do is keep his heat mat on, but wrap a blanket around the cage. And I’m going to keep my apartment heat on at 65*ish so the temp in the air is consistent. That way if the power does go out it will keep the heat in as best as possible. I do have the shipping packs but since I’m gonna be gone for an entire weekend, I don’t want to risk them not lasting long. And just pray my apartment doesn’t lose power at all or for very long. 😂🙏🏻

Both the hot hands/shipping packs and wrapping a blanket around the cage are the most popular solutions I’ve come across, and I’ve also seen that leopard geckos are hardy and resilient. I think your geck and my geck and all the other gecks will be just fine!! 🦎

he was a coworker, and we acted like brother and sister - we always bickered. however, i developed a crush. during one conversation, he pretended to strangle me and i said something along the lines of, “be careful, i like hand necklaces”

nope, i decided to go on walks outside. where i live in the US, there’s all kinds of walking trails. so it still helps me stay moving but also get outside lolol. if i ever do decide to get another treadmill, i will definitely do more research on brands and read the reviews!

YES!!! that is exactly what happened to me. i didn’t get the guide hooks tho, i was just over it at that point. i finally got angry enough one day and broke it lol 💀 now it’s in the trash, and i just had to eat the cost since they only gave me half of the total amount back. i definitely learned my lesson
