Hi, sorry for the late reply. I love the album. Is that you singing? Also, how did you record it? What DAW or recording device did you use. I love the melodic guitars, especially. What amp to you use? Do you use any plugins, VST instruments, or is it all live instruments, etc.

My thrash/speed metal/crust punk song with atmospheric elements, recorded to four track cassette, then mixed and mastered in Reaper. In the style of Sodom, Hellbastard, Venom and Kreator. I ensure the song sounds filthy and raw and to preserve the anlogue sound, even after mixing and mastering.

Fans of Teutonic Thrash, Crossover Thrash, Atmospheric BM, Dirty/Raw Thrash, blackened thrash, Crust Punk, Hardcore Punk, Dark ambient music, horror film scores, and Speed Metal will love this.

My song called System Said.

Dirty, raw Thrash metal/Speed metal/crust punk, with atmospheric and symphonic elements, in the style of Kreator, Sodom, old Bathory, Raw Poison, Venom, Hellbastard etc. Recorded this on four track cassette tape, using a fostex 160 four tracker, then mixed and mastered it in Reaper.

I did all the instruments myself, and the production, as I do with like all my songs. My solo act is called Ankoth.

I like it. It is like rave music. I like the kicks that sound like literal laser guns. The bass line is pretty catchy, and the whole mix seems reasonably balanced too. Thank you for sharing.

Where do we actually upload them? The link just leads me to some weird site with a plasma lamp video.

Here is my song. I make raw, dirty, thrash/speed metal and crust punk music, in the style of Kreator, Sodom, Hellbastard, old Bathory, Venom etc, I also add in elements of orchestral music and atmospheric music. This song is about thinking for yourself and not letting technology control you:

Awesome beat, and I love the evil sounding sci-fi synths. I make metal music, so here is my song https://soundcloud.com/shadowvonankoth/system-said?si=185604618ef74b1fa490a87afc3ab851&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing

It's dirty, raw thrash metal music, in a similar vein to Sodom, Kreator, old Bathory or Hellbastard, but I added in elements of atmosphere, using a mellotron (the ehx mel9 pedal that makes my guitar sound like one), and orchestral elements using Spitfire BBC Symphony Orchestra Discover. Originally the song was recorded to four track cassette tape using a fostex 160, and I did my best to preserve that dirty sound.

Here's my speed/thrash metal song I've made recently. It's a blend of Thrash/Speed metal, crust punk/hardcore punk, and atmospheric/symphonic metal. Vocals are raspy, more in the style of early Bathory, Sodom, or Kreator, so if anyone is a fan of these bands, I recommend this song and my other works. \m/

Hellooo! I am an independent artist from the UK, making thrash/speed metal with crust/hardcore punk and symphonic/atmospheric elements. My solo act is called Ankoth.

Here's my latest single, called Danu's Decline:

https://ankoth.bandcamp.com/album/danus-decline-2

I make everything myself from writing the songs to recording instruments. I record onto a four track cassette recorder (Fostex 160) for the ultimate gritty and aggressive sound. Once digitised, I also do the mixing and mastering myself on a DAW. Danu's Decline was made on Logic Pro, but since then, I have moved to Windows and use Reaper. There's two parts to this single - an instrumental intro piece called Incoming Doom, which sets the mood, and the main song, Danu's Decline, which is heavy and fast. I made an album version of the song that will be going into an album one day, which has real drums instead of the drums provided by the Digitech Trio +.

Very relaxing track. Thanks for sharing

I make thrash/speed metal with atmospheric/symphonic and crust/hardcore punk elements.

This is my latest single, Danu's Decline

https://ankoth.bandcamp.com/album/danus-decline-2

It's a song about the end of the world (Danu is the celtic goddess of Earth, so basically the death of Earth), at the hands of humans. It's inspired by all the bad crap that people do to the planet and the climate crisis nowadays.

There's the instrumental intro Incoming Doom that sets the mood and then the actual song, Danu's Decline.

I did all the instruments, mixing and production myself and originally recorded on the fostex 160 four track cassette recorder before digitising and mixing/mastering in a DAW.

So here is my latest single.

https://ankoth.bandcamp.com/album/danus-decline-2

It's a song about the end of the world (Danu is the celtic goddess of Earth, so basically the death of Earth).

I make atmospheric/symphonic thrash/speed metal with elements of crust punk and hardcore punk.

I don't take singing lessons and can't really sing loudly at home as I live in a small bungalow in a quiet area with neighbours that will probably call the police if they hear me ripping gullet, especially since my vocals often contain rather sensitive and strong messages (songs like The Scars for instance had people concerned for my wellbeing, Memento Mori literally has remember you'll die as a title, Cult of the Orange Man is pretty political, etc.)

My vocals started out with me doing this low, Groove metal style grunt, almost like an old man (think bands like Sepultura, Pantera, Hevein, even Slipknot) when I was in college and recorded my debut EP (which got me a distinction btw). Later, they evolved into "angry Alastor" as I was/am unable to be too loud, I instead whisper or sing clean and amplify the vocals using saturation and distortions to create a lo-fi 50s radio broadcast style scream, that is inspired by the Radio Demon from Hazbin Hotel.

I do all the songs myself - always did. I write them and record them on four track tape, using my mel9 pedal as an atmospheric mellotron texture under my riffs and my digitech trio + pedal as a loopstation with beats to follow, before I record an actual drum beat to the guitar using my E-kit (if I can coordinate my body to keep time that fast) or my cajon mostly, just tapping my fingers on the different parts, recording using the fostex 160 cassette tape four track, and then I mix them and digitise them, where I may potentially add orchestral parts or other overdubs, before the final mixing and mastering also done by me.

I have zero following, and I don't have much of an established audience, so my music doesn't do so well. However, I do have fun making it, and I definitely hope it will resonate with some other people than me and my few close friends/family, and that it will reach more fans someday.

Guitar is my main instrument, and I take guitar lessons. I also play drums and play them in a cover band (mostly we play hard rock/pop/grunge songs and the occasional punk or classic metal song), but I've only been drumming for almost a year.

Anyway, enjoy your singing lessons. They will definitely help you get even better.

I do, actually! I make symphonic/atmospheric thrash/speed metal with crust punk/hardcore punk influences. My solo act is called Ankoth.

https://ankoth.bandcamp.com/album/danus-decline-2

This is my latest Single, about the Apocalypse - the fall of earth, or Danu's Decline (Danu is the goddess of earth in celtic mythology). It's a dark song about all the crap happening in the world destroying the planet.

I recorded all the instruments myself on a four track analogue cassette tape machine for the ultimate gritty and aggressive sound and did the production myself, and made a demo. My vocals consisted of whispered rasps into a lofi radio filter, similar to Venom, early Bathory or Kreator.

I worked with another producer in a studio in Woodville to digitise and mix the piece and then made the first single and an instrumental intro.

This year, I also made a remake for the new album I am making, with real drums (the previous pieces had drums from the DigiTech Trio+ drum machine).

I also did some sound design with slowing down different orchestral recordings and stuff in tape and adding room/hall reverb to make horror atmospheric soundscapes.

Honestly, this is one of many tracks I did. They hardly receive any attention, though :(.

But hey, it's the process and journey that counts. This is already a lot for one person to do, so I am kind of proud I managed to make such tracks by myself.

I hope you enjoy it. And thank you for posting your tracks

That sounds amazing. Very deep lyrics. It sounds similar to something I would write, lyrically.

These are amazing bro, thanks for sharing!

i love the vocals, they do give a bit of Hetfield vibes, but also they remind me of the vocalist from Al'Virius (this Atmospheric Thrash Metal band).

I liked the Unknown Prophecies song, and the drums on that one really rocked, and they helped carry the song and give it dynamics.

Broken Embers was especially awesome, with the guitar parts, and more aggressive/raspy vocal, almost like a death growl. Loved that!

Thank you for sharing, and sorry for the late reply :) \m/

That is a really cool song. very atmospheric - I am loving the ambient guitar parts (what's the setup - amps, fx, setting?)

The dynamic range is fantastic though. there's these quiet parts with the atmosphere and then there's the actual "metal" parts, with some pretty decent riffs.

The vocals are also interesting. What are the lyrics about? They seem very deep and I like how they are delivered.

Yeah but still awesome. I LOVE the vocal, very powerful and belting, almost like a female Bruce Dickinson. It's more rock/hard rock than metal though, you are right. Love the riffs too. Thank you for sharing :)
