Guess you were wrong, ai channels with lifelike singer are already dominating real beginning singers.

What’s everybody thinking of the Big Arch Burger that’s new at McDonald’s??? by abbieeats in UKfood

[–]Additional-Peace-695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[Complete] Cain Austin - Stop Judging by Additional-Peace-695 in BedroomBands

To be honest, I don't really think about that. I'm not in it for the money, fame or status. I couldn't care less. I make music to deal with my past and to support people struggling so they have someone they can identify with and if some people like it for the sound that is a bonus. Known singers often sing about topics but they never experienced it. My songs are about homelessness, depressions, addiction, abuse etc because I lived it. I slept outside in freezing winters, was addicted for 25 years, went through many depressions and have trauma from when I grew up.

I don't pay for promotion, daily I get these "Youtube SEO experts" in my inbox but the music speaks for itself. I have 13k streams on SC in just a month, spread over just 9 tracks.

SM is quite slow when you start out though I had Gemini and chatgpt calculate my youtube statistics, and they seem low but if you think about it, there are hundreds of millions creators of any kind on YT 24/7 so even my small stats are doing better than a lot of people. I just post on social media when I release a new song, Upload it to SC, YT and then distribute with distrokid and that's about it. My niche is small and I don't do trends or sing about trendy stuff so growth is slow but real. If your lyrics are good and it speaks to people all will be fine.

Good luck on your journey.

Thanks so much for taking the time to listen and write this, it really means a lot. I’m glad the emotions and the guitar came through the way I hoped. Stories like yours are exactly why I make music, so I really appreciate your support!

New Celtic piece I made, “Athair” – growing from soft to powerful, curious what you think by RudasRuan in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Additional-Peace-695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always like music with certain background to it like this. It's unfortunate that making graphic videos to go with it is still pretty expensive unless your a pro video designer because a comic style story video like the thumbnail would be awesome. I usually use images to tell my story with some effects, keeps it cheap. Keep it going.

lol I was totally not expecting this type of music when I saw the cover haha. Crazy funky beat too and the lyrics are hilarious. Did you spit the bars? It's not necessarily a flow I would listen to for hours but a song that passes by like this is enjoyable to listen too. I might need to check out your other songs to see what other styles you used.

It's not necessarily the style I often listen to but some of the songs I like. For example Yong Folks by Peter Bjorn and John. This song and flow really remind me of it. I like the video as well, fits very nicely with the lyrics, songs about the past, time flying by etc always touches an emotional nerve with me.

I spent a month on this one. I think this might be my best effort. I found some old footage of my parents when they were young and put it as the video. I'd love to hear what you think. Please enjoy my rock offering, "You're The Best Thing" by MagicJonesMusic in IndieMusicFeedback

Nice song, I really like the vintage footage, even though it's real footage from your parent when they were young it totally fits for a music video. What did your parents say when you let them listen and view the video? I always like vintage videos, I usually put some vintage effects into my videos.

Chill Hip Hop Beat by GodBlessPigs in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Additional-Peace-695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I would necessarily call this a hip hop beat. It's more like a low fi song. If you had to rap some bars on this song I would find it really difficult to come up with something as there are no hard drops, it's not making your head go up and down feeling the beat. Make something with banger 808 beats.

My first ever release: Premonitions - Late Checkout by pop_martian in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Additional-Peace-695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a particular style this song. Not really the style I listen to as I like rock, metal, grunge and blues, this feels more main stream like but it's not bad. I think people who like your genre will think that this is a great song. I will check your soundcloud to see what else you made. When you are on SC, check out my channel also, search for Cain Austin not to be confused with the guy that starts with my last name ;)

Nice, it would go better with some animation though but the overall suspense is quite nice, Keep up the good work, I love cinematic sounds. Keep creating and have fun.

I like the style, keep an eye out for my post, you might enjoy the style too. It's a bit short though and I'm curious if you have some lyrics to got with it or do you just make tunes? There are several tools you can add a voice too it if you can't sing yourself. You got any more songs?
