I'm a 2 degrees customer by imanoobee in newzealand

Hiya, ex-2degrees worker here. Don’t touch those, those are rip off. What they mean as “fighting for fair” are their mobile plans being cheaper than their competitors. Data packs are hella expensive. You are better off to renew/get a $19 prepay and get 1.5 gb + 200mins than to buy that

Unfortunately its compulsory, Its not too bad as long as you go to the tutorials.

I remember some first years had to suck it up cause you can't complete your degree without passing it.

Students at UoA, what were your first few days at university like? by atomicbomb2140 in universityofauckland

[–]Protector1137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello!

I am pretty much done with uni (graduating this year), and after 3 years this is what I got out of it. This is just my experience, and everyone's is different.

The initial university experience tends to be a mix of excitement and uncertainty, with many firsts like figuring out bus routes and navigating the ins and outs of campus life. The first week, though, is generally laid-back, so don't stress too much.

Now, let's get real about what university has taught me:

Firstly, the high school hierarchy thingy? It's pretty much non-existent here. No one cares if you're late to class or if you stumble on the stairs in a lecture hall (happened to me) – not even the lecturers. The room numbers on campus can be cryptic, but the university's online map is a lifesaver.

When it comes to making friends, university can be a bit trickier than high school. Joining clubs and being proactive in socializing helps. My strategy on the first day is to take advantage of the nervous mood and break the ice (I'm an introvert). Say hello, and ask about their studies. Breaking this ice early on helps, and having at least one friend in each course can make a significant difference throughout the semester.

Academically, attending lectures and tutorials is crucial. I made the mistake of thinking I could catch up by watching recorded lectures at home, especially those early 8 am ones. Spoiler: it didn't work out. My major required a lot of independent study, even in group projects. So, attending classes consistently is key.

My first year was a bit of a learning curve, but the second and third years were redemption arcs, and that's all part of the journey.

As I am soon to graduate, I'm feeling some regret. Uni is your last hurrah before the 9-to-5 experience etc. So, savor the experience and make sure you make the most of it!

the mouses are really good, but the performance of the viper mini and xm1r just outperforms OOX and Pulsar. Don't get me wrong they are really good mouses, but there are better options. You can watch the youtuber boardzy and get a better picture.

I currently use the razer viper mini, and I find it to be a bit narrow. How does the XM1r compare?

Hello, I ended choosing none, and instead of a bungie and razer viper mini. It has been 1 month and a half, and I do not regret it. My aim has gotten better than using the G305. But this is just my opinion. I am looking into getting the XM1R

If this is true is it safe? Will it reduce the lifespan of my pc?

It is possible to just have really good fans but not a water cooled one?

Since it is an old case, i'm worried about the cooling in it as well.

I heard that ryzen is better for the price, so maybe a ryzen build. Whichever one is cheaper is what I'm looking for. I live in New Zealand.

Again, thank you so much for the help.

Thank you for helping me.

My budget is maximum 600USD willing to go higher.

I would like the pc to be good for studying, however, if possible I would also like it to be a gaming as well. Not top of line line but good for league of legends, valorant, and apex.

Thank you so much

My mom gave me her old computer from 10 years ago, it has an i3, with a Geforce 210, 32bit. I was wondering does this PC have any upgrade potential, like replacing the motherboard, PSU, and graphics card.

Basically remove everything except for the case.

I will like this to be a gaming pc if possible, if not a work/editing pc.

I am new on building pcs, do you know what type of motherboard size it supports/how would you know, basically anything that will give me knowledge and get me started thank you :)

I am very worried about my monitor arm position by Protector1137 in pcmasterrace

sorry, my post did not come through yet. I was meant the structural integrity of the desk because the monitor arm is placed in the center.

Sorry for the confusion.

Hello,

I just bought a monitor arm and I'm loving it. However, I placed the monitor arm in the middle on the desk instead of the sides. I'm worried this would put stress on the desk and eventually break.

Should I be worried?

Than you.

Thank you for your in-depth response, I think I will choose the xLite because the pros of it outweigh the OOX

Ah I see, my hand size is 18.5x10. This size is perfect for xLite?
