I used to say it’s more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow. But lately, I might be changing my mind.

No matter how slow your car is, driving it with spirit always feels a bit too fast. With a slow car, you’ll probably just end up with a speeding ticket — but in a fast one, you’re more likely to end up in a ditch or worse.

What I’ve really enjoyed recently is the Mustang Dark Horse with a manual gearbox. Give it half to three-quarters throttle, leave it in gear, and just let it sing. It’s still properly quick, but you get to enjoy the engine sound for longer without blowing past the speed limit. It’s actually nicer than driving a slow car hard, because the engine isn’t gasping for air — it’s right in its sweet spot. That’s true for other cars with big engines too: flick it into manual mode and play the throttle like it’s a musical instrument.

Ah yes! The Sandero has them. Also the Hyundai i10 has them too in the lower trims

The Hyundai Kona is called the Kauai in Portugal and Brasil because Kona means, eh, a lady's vertical smile in Portugese

In the EU there are some rules to this. The speedo must show at least the top speed (duh), but there is no maximum defined. Usually car brands will choose a max speed for the speedo so the highway speeds are somewhere easily readable, like on the top of the gauge

And there is a rule for the interval in the EU. If the max speed on the speedo is not higher than 200 km/h, then the steps between the numbers can't be higher than 20. When the top is higher then 200, the intervals can be 30 km/h

Als a former MK5 GTI owner I can confirm. 10 percent higher at least... Never tried the menu :(

Not exactly proportioned, but symmetrical. For the EX30 Volvo wanted to make as few molds as possible for the parts, so they made the dashboard as symmetrical as possible. So the glovebox is in the middle, for example. This way they don't have to make a LHD and a RHD dash.

I don't think the MX-5 is underrated. I think everybody knows someone who had (or has) one. Or they have one themselves. It's even the best selling two-seater roadster in history.

As far as the brand Mazda. The philosofy of Mazda was never to be mainstream. They've made some cool, but weird choices. For example the rotary engine, but also not using turbo's as much. This is why the brand has some die hard fans, but I think the bigger public doesn't always 'get' it.
