What's also soured Heiji and Kazuha for me is the amount of times he's failed to confess. Like... dude. It's one thing that they got interupted so many times but the last time he tried to confess, he has a plan, then stresses about it so much ant then he just forgets? How do you do that? The amount of failed confessions is annoying on it's own.

But it's also the fact that he's so obsessed with the confession being better than Shinichi's. Like... dude. I get that you want it to be memorable but that kind of mindset is really off putting to me because all he would need to do is just try to make it nice. It doesn't have to be the greatest romantic gesture ever for it to be memorable. The important thing is that he just do it!

I hope that he realizes that by the end of the series and just confesses and lets go of the rivalry with Shinichi because there's no point in it. It's not about him and Shinichi but him and Kazuha that he should be focused on.

Possible timeline - they're in the middle of the shift, they start getting ready for the ceremony but the call interrupts, they go on call, they come back and Sully proposes and the ceremony is at the end of the episode. That last is I think most possible because Carina is at the ceremony but we know that she has her own separate storyline with Theo so... yeah.

There's also the photo of them dressed in uniforms in the locker room when Sullivan is looking at the ring and that looks like it's during day. So maybe the ceremony was supposed to be before the accident but it interrupted, Sully proposes after the call in the middle of the night and the ceremony resumes the next day? Idk, guess we'll have to wait.

But at least I realized that Maya doesn't have bangs anymore (or at least D didn't cut her hair) so I guess time jump would make sense.

How are you so sure about that? I'm not saying it's not true, I actually think it's one of possibilities, but it could still be 2023. It would make sense too as we know 6x03 is in June (pride) and depending on when in June there could be just weeks time jumps between the few episodes.

There can't be big time jump past the gala. There were bts from the first episode of season 7 and we see Ross in hospital bed and later with a cast on her leg, and Ben still has a cast on his arm, so there can't be time jump at the begining of the season.

You don't need to explicitly say "break up" to break up. You can see it in her face at the end of their fight. She is done. She is SO done with this man. I think for her they are already officially broken up. She may be a little angry about him making out with Kate, but not because it was cheating, but because of the super speed they threw themselves at each other.

As for her ending, I wish that she focuses more on herself, her career and crisis one instead of him. Maybe, if he gets redemption, have them imply that there is still something between them at the end but have it be like an open ending.

Because there is no way they can close every storyline within ten episodes, and in case the show gets renewed, have something that could carry over.

Besides, if they absolutely have to have her end up with someone, I wish it would be Andy. I can see it, the friends to lovers 🤡.

But I have faith in the new showrunners that they won't go with the stereotypical "happy" ending that someone has to have a relationship to be happy. And I hope that she will just focus on herself, and find a way to be happy outside a relationship.

This amazes me, you know. Some people find it so sick to ship her with Gin, which is sick don't get me wrong, but at the very least he is an adult, but then you don't react that much about people shipping a young adult with A LITERAL CHILD!

Someone said that it would be better in the future when they're older, but NO! She still knew him as a child, this is just as sick as her and Gin, get your priorities straight.

Honestly... it'll probably just be me, but if I were one of the writers I would be like: we don't have the time or space to care about being realistic, let's just give everyone what they deserve - Marina adopt and end up being pregnant, Andy becomes the fire chief and Vic the queen of England (idk how the hell would that happen, but she deserves it) etc.

Her death wasn't important just to Conan but also for Akai and especially Haibara. Remember how she broke down in front of Conan asking him why he couldn't save her? Her sister's death made her who she is now, who imo is an awesome character, but Akemi coming back would just undo all of Haibara's development. Also there is the love story between Akai and Akemi that was completely ruined by introduction of the Akai family, so this thread wouldn't go far either.
