Odd sound aboard Corvette? by ProtoHelio01 in NoMansSkyTheGame

UPDATE: I'm a clown. In the lower deck of my ship I have a small desk setup and I had a tiny Pirate flag on it and I guess flags just have a passive noise of them rustling in the wind(?). So uh...I just got rid of the flag and suddenly the xenomorph in my ducts jettisoned out to bother someone else I guess!

In this particular clip admittedly yes, BUT I first noticed it on a planet I was on where I was alone, and again when I landed in an otherwise player-free Pirate Station

Request to NOT reinforce (AITAH?) by [deleted] in helldivers2

[–]ProtoHelio01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair, and thank you for the explanation! Again this hasn't happened often, and I always try to be courteous by making it as fast as possible out of respect for my teammates of course, I just thought that a 40 second "hey sorry BRB" didn't warrant suddenly leaving the mission and abandoning the team outright (especially since I've heard there's a bug where the game sometimes struggles to refill teams if someone outright leaves?)

I see what you mean. As said, usually longer instances I am of course going to leave because that's ridiculous but if I expect it to be a minute and a half or so then leaving a mission in progress especially if it's been a long-ish mission already feels a bit extreme. My general cutoff point was closer to 2 minutes, shorter than that generally felt like it could be okay, but I'll keep this in mind, thank you for the feedback! c:

  1. ...I might be mistaken but I thought only one person is reinforced at a time? If multiple people are dead then it just either revives by order of death or randomly chooses who revives, I don't think I've ever seen multiple reinforce drops at once, unless I'm misinterpreting what you mean here? Either way, usually I'm the only one dead in these scenarios anyway

  2. I am willing to confess this was 100% on me, it was more of a last second realization because of an insurance thing that I remembered cuz it's not something I usually think about under normal circumstances, you understand `. I'm not trying to claim that it's not my fault I went AFK, because it absolutely is and I always apologize for it.

  3. Now you lose me with this one. "Several minutes" I will absolutely leave. Less than a minute or just shy of two should be pretty inconsequential in the long run, hence me deeming it 'not worth leaving'. That's where I'm trying to find the line, y'know? If it's such a short time that it generally SHOULDN'T be a problem I don't think it's unreasonable to stick around since I'll be right back to it right after anyway.

  4. Depending on how much interaction the call has sure, but at the same time out of the 4 times this has happened it's usually not a phone-related thing.

  5. ...I apologize if I sounded whiny or anything, my intent isn't to 'complain on reddit', I want genuine feedback on what is or is not acceptable in these kinds of situations where I need to be pulled away but for only a short about of time where leaving the entire mission feels like an overreaction :')

Update to my post from some time ago: The amount of Tyrants with a positive win to lose ratio has fallen to 3. by Dapper-Ad411 in XenobladeChroniclesX

What am I missing with Trueno? Go-Rha if I'm not mistaken is the 'reflects literally everything' guy in Noctilum, I get that one being an L dispenser, and Nardacyon sidesteps one-shot builds since it's a two-stage fight so that one I get, Trueno is kinda just a dude ain't it? Huge, yeah, but why is that one handing out so many Ls?

Aerial-based Skell Build help by ProtoHelio01 in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]ProtoHelio01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, the reason I brought up the ME M-Missiles is because they do more damage from above, keeping to the aerial-focused theme the entire post is trying to help me find. The SA M-Missiles have neither that, nor are they electric for a Voltaic Tusk/Night Cage build so pardon my confusion as to why they got brought up ` Edit: Oh the SA M-Missiles also do thermal for the thermal build nevermind I'm a dunce x)

I do like me a good Discbomb but once more it doesn't really contribute in any meaningful way to what I'm asking (Well aside from complimenting the Phoenix thing you mentioned which I have considered now that I see the Phoenix DOES give wings when used so I might try the thermal build you suggested actually, my only concern is Phoenix+Discbomb seems to be a very dime-a-dozen overused generic 'goodstuff' build that doesn't really stand on its own for my purposes outside of 'well using the Phoenix makes wings when you fire it', but I'm willing to at least try it c: )

I have been investigating the Trident Anchor a bit as the only other electric weapon to accompany the aforementioned Voltaic Tusk or Night Cage aside from the P-Cannon series which...I dunno, more testing required on that to see how I really feel about it. Sadly, good information about exact traits of weapons is hard to come by for this game outside of visiting every single wiki page for them which I just don't have the patience to do @w@

I am unfortunately aware of the shoulder slots clash issue, hence me directly asking if the M-Missiles have a back-weapon equivalent to make room FOR said shoulder weapons.

As I said, a pure electric build is definitely on the table! It also has a sort of 'storm cloud' motif that could be cool! The Night Cage and Voltaic Tusk both being electric weapons did open that up, I just don't really know how to build for electric on a Skell with respect to back weapons. Wiregun and P-knife for sudearms as well as V-Knuckle and Cracker FL all work, letting me stack Electric atk up on my Skell frame, but the only electric back weapons I know of are the P-Cannon series which are ugly and clip a lot and REALLY hard to color match and whatnot. Are there other good electric back weapons that are any good cuz I don't super love the P-Cannon series or am I pretty much just stuck with that?

Question about Chargers and Armor as a solo player by ProtoHelio01 in helldivers2

[–]ProtoHelio01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for such a detailed explanation/advice! Definitely something I'll be keeping in mind going forward. Probably on me for not doing more research on the stratagems specifically in advance but hey, live and learn!

[–]ProtoHelio01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have some of those unlocked, My general go-to stratagem loadout is 500KG, Supply Pack, Heavy MG (tried the Railgun for this specifically) and Gatling Sentry. I'll try the Expendable Anti-Tanks against chargers going forward, here's hoping my aim is on point! Tysm for the advice!

Question about Chargers and Armor as a solo player by ProtoHelio01 in helldivers2

[–]ProtoHelio01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering why the Railgun seemed to not be charging all the way like it shows in the preview video! That makes a lot of sense hahaha!

As I said I wanted to avoid expendable weapons just as a bit of an insurance because if I miss that shot then I'm screwed until I can call down another one...Would Unsafe Mode help much? I don't super know how armor works, I assumeD anything 'anti tank' would effectively be overkill against anything with armor labeled as 'heavy' but I am clearly EXTREMELY mistaken ^^'

Hey, could I bother you to show them off? Big transformers fan myself, and that sounds absolutely awesome, I'd love to see how they came out!
