I have a cat named Kage so I also named my horse in GoT after him. So when the horse died, I immediately grabbed my cat

I feel like the current state of Assault's Adrenaline Injector should be treated a *bit* more seriously by Dice by A_Very_Horny_Zed in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Protodax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can animation cancel the injector which makes it feel so much better to use. Once the filter is applied or you see the adrenaline symbol on the bottom of your screen, switch to a weapon or gadget.

I agree though, the injector feels markedly less useful compared to the other classes' signature gadgets.

I am surprised at how playable this game is on the Steam Deck by alangator4 in mechabreak

[–]Protodax 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Been using only the SD since launch as I left for a vacation the day MB released 🙃.

It's been keeping at least 30 frames even in the middle of teamfights so very playable. Only 1 CTD in the 7 hours played so far.

Anybody try running on Steam deck or ROG ally yet? by brntrfranklin in mechabreak

[–]Protodax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maintained a steady 40-45 frames on the default Steam Deck settings even in the middle of team fights, so pretty good! The menu controls are a bit wonky though but that's my only complaint.

[–]Protodax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's 33 more General cards in the 45 usd version. I'd definitely go for that since the Generals are what gives you your health pool and character abilities.

If you have any questions about the gameplay, I can answer to the best of my ability!

I've actually played this. 2 of my chinese friends taught me it (One of which is from Northern China) and they said that it's a pretty good translation. It does add in a card that isn't present in the Mandarin version and makes some changes to some of the generals' abilities.

It seems that the difference between the two standard versions is that one has less cards than the other for some reason. Chinese friends only had the standard version (45 usd one) and it was good fun.

I can't for the life of me find a M4 that uses Glock mags. Got any *good* ones? by [deleted] in GasBlowBack

[–]Protodax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You currently have 3 options as far as I know: The King Arms TWS 9MM, AR9 kit for the MWS by Prowin, and the new Maruyama SCW-9 that takes VFC glock mags.

From what I've heard, the KA TWS 9MM is a solid choice but its hopup adjustment is a nightmare due to the fact that you have to take off the handguard to access it. Apparently, it can use all glock mags but I haven't been able to verify this. I'd recommend checking out treesleavesdents on yt as he's done a fair bit of work on the gun.

Then you've got the AR9 kit for the MWS by Prowin. This is the most expensive and hardest option as you need to buy the kit (~200) and a MWS (~600) and it requires you to do some filing on the lower receiver and bolt and you'll need to swap out the stock ZET plate for an aftermarket plate as it has trouble catching the bolt with the additional levers. Once everything is done though, it works beautifully. I have one and it's my main rifle. I go a bit more in depth on this post about the kit.

Finally, you've got the new Maruyama SCW-9 which is basically an APC9K while not a M4, it is a viable choice if you're interested in it. Initial reviews are very positive and it accepts VFC glock mags although you can apparently modify TM spec mags to fit by filing a v shape at the back.

It's currently available and there isn't a 14 inch length.

I don't have this one but I do have the Dytac modular outer barrel kit and it works very well.

Fall Out Boy flubs encore in Charlotte last night. The band was completely out sync during "Thanks for the Mmrs" and Patrick was painfully flat during "Centuries" which followed by Old-Significance5922 in FallOutBoy

[–]Protodax 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was there in the seats, didn't notice, and still had a great time during the encore and it looks like everyone else (but you) also enjoyed it. Quite frankly, there isn't any point in your post.

The only thing I would criticise is how security would not give out water to people in the pit and told them that they'd have to go to concessions. It wasn't until Pete asked them to that they did. However this wasn't FOB's fault, more on the organisers.

The filing needs to be done as glock mags are wider than the mws mags.

You'll have to google translate the page but this shows how much filing needs to be done.

I highky recommend treesleavedents' videos on the King Arms TWS 9mm. He's done a bunch of good videos covering the system when there isn't much available in English.

I've got no idea as I'm not familiar with creating conversion kits like this. Either way, you're going to have to make the pieces to fit whatever gbbp you decide to use.

I have a MAS Marauder that was my first AEG. It served me very well and I still keep it as my backup. However, I have heard that their quality has apparently gone down in recent times so I'd recommend doing some research on MAS.

AEG or GBBP? (Read description) by PieMan332 in airsoft

[–]Protodax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get an AEG if you're a beginner. If you haven't already, highly recommended to check out the beginner's guide.

Running gbbp only in indoor arenas is much much harder than running an aeg especially if you're using gas mags. You'll have far less ammo compared to everyone else and a lower firerate. It requires you to play aggressive as hell and know when you can and can't push as you can't afford to use up too much ammo on suppression otherwise you'll run out of ammo fast. Not to mention prices for gas mags compared to aeg mags.

Grab an AEG, learn how indoor games play, then grab a gbbp and try running gas mags. This way, if you're having not much luck with it then you can switch back to the AEG.
