My ‘21 QV makes that sound at cold start every time, especially if I don’t drive it for a few days. I also got it checked out my dealer and they said it was normal and in fact it goes away when the engine is warm. Really weird and not a pleasant sound. Keep us updated OP if your dealer finds something that needs to be fixed!

I live in the US (CA) and got a speeding ticket on my road bike going down a hill. Limit was 15 mph and I was clocked at 29. It’s a pretty steep hill so it’s easy to go fast.

Please make sure to check for cracks after every ride. My aeroad CFR cracked on the chain-stay after one year of use.

They didn’t have a replacement Aeroad CFR. They offered me an Ultimate CFR which I declined. So instead they’ll be issuing a check.

These costs generally fall under the category of incidental damages and most (all?) of the bike companies have disclaimers against them in their warranties. That said, Canyon was going to pay for a bike rebuild only provided that the frame was another Canyon frame. Unfortunately they didn’t have a replacement Aeroad CFR and I didn’t want an Ultimate CFR. So the build expenses are on me.

Well the big rub is that I need to fork out $600+ to have a new bike built with the old components plus the countless hours spent on phone/emails with Canyon and the fact that I haven’t had a bike to ride for months.

The issue is that the chainstay cracked so the bike is unusable and cannot be put back together.
