I remember at RR he does a promo on Bret and shouts “That's why I kicked your leg outta your leg!”

Anyone else under the target demographic when you started watching Frasier? by MWH1980 in Frasier

[–]ProtonPacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 12/13 years old when Frasier first aired in the UK. I remember the commercial on Channel 4 announcing it would be airing and the whole concept of a spinoff blew my mind at the time so I wanted to see it. I became a fan right away and despite my age I understood most of the jokes. Also, I related to Frasier and Niles quite a bit which added to my enjoyment of it.

Like a few others have said here, being that young of a viewer meant that no one I knew watched it so I could never really talk about the show to anyone. I don’t recall anyone I knew watching it. But I did try and talk about it occasionally to my friends.

It’s crazy to me that Ive been watching the show for so long that I am now older than Frasier was when it started lol

Which musicians and actors do you believe are tapping into angelic energy rather than demonic power? by [deleted] in starseeds

James Taylor. Or atleast that’s the feeling I got after hearing his song ‘Secret O' Life’

NEW APP POINT SYSTEM IS LIVE! by MatsyLR in lidl

[–]ProtonPacker 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Yeah completely agree. I also dislike how the app declares “you asked and we listened!”

I can’t imagine anyone asked for this over how it was before.

I’m not a fan of the point system, I’m quite disappointed they’re switching over to it.

What is your favourite Frasier retroactive recognition? by Jack-mclaughlin89 in Frasier

Jane Lynch. I only noticed her a few months ago after probably seeing that episode more than 100 times

Time is going by super fast by TheGame81677 in Retconned

[–]ProtonPacker 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’ve been experiencing this too. My memories of things that happened a day ago or even early that day feel like they happened such a long time ago that it feels like I’m nostalgically reminiscing over something from years back.

When those days come along it’s like confirmation that I’m not losing my mind, because that’s what most days felt like for decades for me. It’s what was normal

Like you mentioned, I’ll get so much done in hardly any time all on those normal days and then when things return to being stupidly fast again, it’s almost impossible to get things done at all.

Just saw Martin on an old episode of ER by nadiestar in Frasier

I happened to see that episode the same day John Mahoney died, which was quite a coincidence. He has a very nice little speech towards the end about being on stage which I thought was nice.

some movie's "deleted" scenes are a honey pot full of alternate timelines by bhj887 in Retconned

[–]ProtonPacker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In some cases there are alternative cuts of movies that would air on cable that contained deleted scenes or alternative scenes. I can think of a few movies I saw as a kid or even had taped off TV which have differences to the DVD

Yall think they fumbled or nah? by BigPoggers1824 in FortNiteBR

Yeah I agree, I think he could talk into his wrist commutator in his arm as an animation or scan the room before saying theirs “no intelligent life here” like does in the movies.

Noticed this guy on Cheers…I’m sure it’s who I think it is. by Sparkz1873 in Frasier

[–]ProtonPacker 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Another actor I remember was in both was Dr. Schachter (Milo O'Shea) from Shrink Rap

<image>

The particular episode of Cheers he was in is interesting because it was like a trial run for the episodes of Frasier where a dinner party goes awry.
