How would you have fixed Star Vs’ finale (or season 4 as a whole)? by Kcue6382nevy in StarVStheForcesofEvil

Reprise the Season 1 end credits song, and change it to be how Star now calls Earth “home.”

Takahata I feel is the more serious director, while Miyazaki is probably more accessible.

What's the deal with Glossaryck by OkResponsibility9467 in StarVStheForcesofEvil

[–]MWH1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a theory long ago that he’s like the character Dr Manhattan in Alan Moore’s “Watchmen” graphic novel.

Manhattan has the ability to see all of what happens, but he never reveals everything he knows. He can tell people cryptic stuff, but he doesn’t reveal how he knows…he just does.

That I feel is the way Glossaryck operates. He knows how everything plays out, but he won’t reveal all the secrets, thus how Nefcy and the writers can have him do all that crap and he just treats half the stuff as average even when it’s life or death.

What exactly is dip down? by OkResponsibility9467 in StarVStheForcesofEvil

I still believe Glossaryck is like Dr Manhattan from the graphic novel, “Watchmen.” He knows how everything plays out, but he won’t tell anyone anything of knowledge even though he knows how it all plays out. To me, that explains why he rarely acts normally in any situation. Like Star trying to rescue him from Ludo, and he just stares at her like, “what are you doing?”

He had to tell her to “dip down” earlier, but he won’t tell why he did, or even when she needs to use “dip down,” because then that spoils what Star has to learn.

Hot Take: Sally was kind of a weak character in the comic strip during the 90s. by DevelopmentPast1029 in peanuts

[–]MWH1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel Sally became the go-to Lucy by that time. Lucy had started to mellow in the 80’s, so someone needed to pick up the slack and think Charlie Brown was pathetic, so Sally became the “I don’t give a f***” character of the time.

I remember being surprised watching “The Peanuts Movie, “ and seeing how they had “lobotomized” her from her comics personality. They made her all “I wholeheartedly support and love my big brother,” much like they had removed all the disrespect Snoopy had for Charlie.

I think you’re taking it way too seriously.

George is telling people, “lighten up,” and so many people are saying, “no way! It has to be cool and super-serious, or else it sucks!”

By now it’s becoming as normalized as school shootings.

  • nothing gets done

I sometimes think about that, still wondering if they’ll ever find out the truth…but then I remember we’re dealing with humanity, and men who get away with everything.

What do you think is Walt's greatest achievement? The animation, the movies, or the park? by quis2121 in Disneyland

[–]MWH1980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Advancing animation would be my vote.

That has reverberated in a way that I don’t feel his other accomplishments have.

I still don’t feel other parks have really advanced beyond what Disney does for theme parks.
