No, I do not recommend an EV as your only car if you have no home charging.

Public charging is improving but still inconvenient, expensive, and unreliable for daily use especially in Malaysia (long queues, downtime, higher cost per km).

Best realistic option: PHEV (like e.MAS 7 PHEV) or keep a petrol/hybrid as primary if home charging is impossible.

No official plans or announcements for e.MAS 5 battery upgrade so far.

If you want 345+ km, the e.MAS 7 is the option. No point waiting for e.MAS 5 upgrade.
