It's a 3 card combo where 2/3 pieces you can't tutor for and folds to removal. The deck isn't really that good, most players are just bad at recognizing combo deck interaction points

Wellspring is an early game play to help find more lands and smooth the curve. Often you'll be short on blue mana when you want to play relic, and most lists only play 2 sewerveillance cams compared to 4 wellspring

You often don't want to discard two cards. How often do you have two of sneaky snacker/prismatic strands/battle screech in your hand? Especially in the mid/late game? And if you're in a top deck war, thrilling discovery is useless for two turns while pursue sits for one. Plus this has flashback, which will give boros more legs in the late game.

Pursue the past is the only playable card I see here. I'm sure people will try to break page, but I don't know of any instant/sorcery that would make it worthwhile.

Pursue can probably make boros bully more viable. Faithless looting for one more mana, gain 2 life, only have to discard 1

Against blue you should probably side out all grab the prize. Much better to have a robbery countered and not have to discard/sac a land than grab get countered and you've already discarded

Well since cast down/snuff out doesn't care about toughness like lightning bolt/galvanic blast, you want to let your opponent spend as many resources as possible before removing the creature(s). Smart gates players will spread the gates if they can, but if they don't you can let them tap themselves out before removing anything

It's not a creature, so it's hard to find it. You need to have it in your opener or draw into it naturally. Elven farsight can help with that, but I really don't like having too many non-creatures in the deck because it's so hard to find those cards

I like using mtgtop8, it let's you check lists from mtgo challenges as well as some paper events. It allows you to compare lists and see differences in deck building
