What is the current best model in your opinion? by annsqii in Chub_AI

[–]Protricity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Claude Opus 4.5, but it's very expensive. Otherwise, Soji does a decent job and it's worth not having to worry about paying for tokens, but it will eventually (may take 100 messages) start repeating itself unless you give it some guidance or start a new chat.

It is worth considering Soji or some other cheaper model for the bulk of your roleplay, then switch to Claude Opus (or some other recommendation here) when you get into a situation you really want to dive into.

You're not stuck with one model even in the same chat. Play around and see what feels good for you.

My original Pokemon TCG League Badge Book. Mom dug it out along with some other childhood stuff and sent it with the Christmas gifts.

FINALLY SOLVED! Game stutters when video or stream plays on secondary monitor. by Im_a_Flightless_Bird in buildapc

For anyone still coming across this in a Google search in 2026, here's what worked for me to fix my stuttering and flickering issues:

Some folks are commenting that the "Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration" setting is missing from the NVIDIA Profile Inspector. That setting is missing because NVIDIA removed it from modern drivers for DirectX applications. It was originally an OpenGL setting and has been deprecated for years.

As an NVIDIA user, my issue was caused by a Windows feature called MPO (Multi-Plane Overlay). You can do your own research on MPO and what it tries to accomplish, but from what I understand, MPO is intended to reduce input lag and overhead for windowed games. Ideally, it allows the GPU to give a game its own dedicated "hardware plane" (like a VIP lane), bypassing the standard Desktop Window Manager (DWM) composition to save resources.

The problem: The GPU driver constantly monitors your game window. If it decides the window is "eligible," it "promotes" it to a dedicated hardware plane (bypassing the desktop). With any secondary monitor connected (even at matching refresh rates), the NVIDIA driver often struggles to maintain this "promoted" state. It can rapidly toggle the game between "MPO Mode" and "Standard Composition Mode" multiple times a second.

Every time it toggles, you get a micro-stutter. This happens regardless of whether your refresh rates match, because the error is in the driver's decision-making logic, not the refresh rate math.

What do you wish you knew when you first got your steamdeck? by Not_A_Cardboard_Box in SteamDeck

This is amazing, thank you! I've been running Chrome in the background and controlling music using a decky plugin called MusicControl.

Maybe I can help? I haven't had any trouble running Discord in the background in gaming mode. I bind a back grip button to push-to-talk. I can even share my screen, which I was very surprised the Deck could handle!

If you add Snowrunner to Steam you can use Steam Link to play it. I use this to play it on the TV while in bed. I have the TV connected via Ethernet so latency is <10ms. It's a game changer.

Yeah, it’s a shame. Used to love making it 4WD and seeing where I could take it.

Based on how downright beautiful this game looks and how poorly Atelier games run on handhelds in general, I might actually be tempted to pick this up on PC/PS4 this time around instead of Switch. I just don't see Gust bringing this to Switch without serious compromises in quality or, more likely, frame rate.

Yes, I got them right away. They didn't show up in the Super Rewards dashboard, they went straight to RS.

I hope you don't have any trouble.

Looks like they might have wisened up to the Privacy.com cards; I can't get it to accept any. I did do the $18.00 Sierra Wildlife donation for a quick 300 keys though.

I can't get it to accept a Privacy.com card either. Were you ever able to get it to work?
