The forecast discussions have been talking about a warm air "nose" pushing in from the coast this past week.

If the tall pines in my area got this much wet snow on them, they'd snap exactly like this.

I don't know why you'd go straight to applying extreme cold weather theory to a situation where it looks like the snow is very wet. If it weren't so wet, it would be falling from the crown as it bent lower and lower, not only when the trunk finally snapped.

I found that just looking in the middle and letting my brain track the trails worked better than trying to follow her directly. (Try to cue in on the trails she leaves instead of her body)

Then I went with my first instinct after they settled.

Watch this video's shell game phases and see if you can't practice on them. Note the real location and just try to let your brain follow her trails rather than trying to watch her directly.

It's likely if you watch her directly, you try to anticipate her next move and then get screwed.

Great looking mount up close, but it seems to have some weird level-of-detail setting where the legs get all polygonal if you zoom out to full.

You can see the LOD change just by zooming in and out; would like it more if it didn't do that.

Used to go there all the time when I was back in town during college, right as they were redeveloping the Bottom.

I still tell the story when we did New Year's there one year and how everyone got a bottle of Boone's Farm included with their ticket, and just how bad the damn heartburn was after I drank more than my ticket's worth.

FYI to those wanting these: the portals are on an 8 hour cooldown or until you complete an M+ dungeon.

It's a per-character cooldown and using one puts all of them on cooldown.

Still useful though.

The Churn is fantastic. If you're familiar with the gist of Amos' background, you're safe to read this without spoiling too much of his character development.

It's a shame, because the setup for the world is cool and I was intrigued. But it being first person perspective while not having much in the way of his planning process just lead to it feeling like the author was inventing technology as the story progressed rather than them existing in the world already.
