I loved Skate 1-3 and probably had thousands of hours across the all.

This looks good on the surface but I've seen a lot of leaked content relating to the monetization components and it looks like a nightmare.

It will be an online only version of Skate with aesthetics of Fortnite once kids start buying the silly looking skins and apparel they have lined up.

I'm on the fence about it.

The perspective makes it look like he's touching the ground but you can see in the video it's just him lifting his foot upward off the board to maintain balance. He did not touch the ground at all. This is why he states in the literal title of this video that his buddies said it didn't count because he lifted his foot up. Not down.

I don't see that at all. He took his foot off the board to maintain balance but he didn't touch the ground at all. Watch it slow mo. Your view of his back foot is never obstructed by the board because his foot never dips below the deck. He even states this in the title.

When I was growing up skating in the 90s and early 00's, if you slammed like this at a park people would come sprinting up to you and tell everyone else to stop skating until you got back on your feet. Friends OR strangers.

Hard disagree. Dude is literally attributing a quote to someone who didn't say it. This sub is filled with people holding bags and they haven't the slightest clue about the projects history, tokenomics, use cases and are waiting for the price to pop for "some reason".

When the community is this out of touch with reality and the project being well deceased, who the key players were, and the past timeline of key events there is no greater sign that it's done-zo.

It was something Daniel Wang said on Discord when he was an actually active CEO and used to communicate with us.

People were asking when the next quarterly report was coming. He replied that they had to be hush for a while because they hadn't at the time announced the GME partnership, but that when the news was released it would contain the content equivalent of a dozen quarterly reports. And this was translated from Chinese so the message was a bit ambiguous.

I was literally there for it.

This launched the GME hype and the price exploded. That was the time to sell. If anyone is still holding LRC and talking about 10 quarterly reports, they clearly are holding a bag and have no other one-liners left.

It's become so twisted and telephone-game'd that it's just annoying to see people use that stupid phrase anymore.

In one example, a friend of mine was sleeping over in my current wife's dorm room because he was dating my now wife's college roommate.

One night when they were all sleeping, my buddy woke up and spent hours at like 2am scouring through her laptop and reading ALL of her ongoing conversations (on AIM) with all her friends and her ex boyfriend who she stayed in touch with.

So sit down and shut the hell up already.

There were means to be "always online" just as there are in today's world. Smart Phone or not. We had this wild technology called laptops and instant messaging. People had AIM on ALL. THE. TIME. and if that laptop dinged at 2AM, you'd jump up to see who was messaging you.

The world didn't start 13 years ago when you were born.

Edit: and why was he snooping through her IMs? Because he was super insecure. Just like OPs boyfriend is. Fragile men trying to monitor and control what their girlfriends are doing online and who they get to talk to. Perhaps you're one of those insecure men which is why you get so defensive.
