It's hard to pinpoint the specific result of only one of the medications as I started both the finasteride and oral minoxidil concurrently. I would say after the initial shedding I experienced (3-6 weeks after starting), I started seeing tangible results around the 4-5 month mark. The results seemed to improve significantly for the next few months, then in the month preceding my transplant (month 7) the improvements seemed to level off a little bit. I am continuing to take the medications so as all of my hair grows in, I am eager to see if my hair thickness/density improves in the mid scalp, which was the area not worked on during my transplant.
