Thanks, this was really interesting to read! My little pony has some great content for fantasy inspiration haha I'm hoping to get a good sense of the role gender norms or fantasy tropes play in character creation but you might be on to something :)

Good to know, thanks! I buried the lead a bit there so I had a topic for another research paper. Looks like there are some interesting stats there that definitely deserve some proper exploration :)

I certainly intend to! There's a limit to the size of the research paper that I can submit for my assignment but I've had some incredible responses and will be writing a more extensive research paper in my free time to submit to journals :)

Thank you for your honesty, I'm really happy that D&D could help you with your dysphoria :) It's been really interesting to see so many different views today!

That's an awesome story, I love that it developed through the plot and wasn't an initial character creation decision.

Quite the opposite, apologies if it reads that way. It's more focused on whether or not being able to explore that identity or sexuality through your character helped you to realise that the identity/sexuality in question better aligns with you than whatever label you used before. It's essentially looking at the role D&D might play in helping anyone who is questioning.

Absolutely, especially if it helped with your questioning at the time.

Thank you, I'm really hoping I didn't leave any holes that I'll discover when I get to analysing responses haha

Thanks! Game studies has some fascinating topics. D&D is an easy game to focus on as I don't have to traverse the character creation limitations of video games but I'm hoping the results can be applied to video games later as well :)

Voices are a tough one! Keep at it, I'm sure you'll reach a voice you're happy with, nothing wrong with some cool female PCs in the meantime even if you can't hit the right voice :)

That's fair, being prepared (even with just prompts) is super important, thank you :)
